RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under host Rhys Nicholson has called out Married at First Sight Australia’s Dean Wells for his bizarre attempts at starting drama.

The successful Aussie comedian shared an (admittedly crunchy) meme to Instagram on February 23, having edited a Sky News advertisement to read “free of thinking”.

“Haha I’ve absolutely roasted them,” Rhys wrote in the caption, clearly aware of their less-than-professional editing skills.

But the 45-year-old ex-reality star seemingly took offence to the simple play on words,

Bro you work for the ABC. Probs should not be commenting on this,” Dean wrote, with one measly like to back him up.

Rhys quickly quipped back: “Bro at least I’m working. Probs should not be commenting on this.”

“You’re welcome, mate. Love paying for your rehashed TikTok jokes,” Dean replied, seemingly referring to the ABC being a tax-funded broadcaster.

Rhys later shared a screenshot of the bizarre convo to their Instagram story, adding: “Absolutely obsessed with me.”

It comes after the 32-year-old comedian joined The Weekly’s Charlie Pickering in hosting the NYE variety show, which sparked outrage with, well, pretty much just Dean.

But serial sh*t-stirrer Dean lamented that the national TV network was using “taxpayer dollars” to celebrate inclusivity on a secular holiday.

“Taxpayer dollars really getting put to good use here,” Dean commented on a playful promotional video for the New Year’s Eve event on ABC’s Instagram.

Rhys responded with an absolutely brutal read, writing: “Happy New Year Dean! I don’t know who you are either but great neck-to-head ratio! Congrats [sic]!”

The comment section has since been turned off, but Rhys managed to share the thread on their Instagram story.

“Love making new friends,” the Netflix star wrote. SCREAMING!
