Married at First Sight Australia‘s Davina Rankin has addressed the rumours that she has split from her husband, Jaxon Manuel, after just one year of marriage.
The couple tied the knot in April 2022, but fans feared the worst after the former villain’s husband had already disappeared from her Instagram by August 2022.
Speaking to So Dramatic! on January 27, Davina confirmed they are “definitely still married”. PHEW!
“We are definitely still married,” Davina explained in our DMs, along with a laughing emoji.
She added: “Although I should probably post more photos of him haha.” Yes, please!
Why did fans think Davina Rankin and Jaxon Manuel had split?
As well as the lack of hubby content on Davina’s Instagram, fans were concerned after she reflected on 2022 as the year that she stopped “people pleasing” and became “in touch” with her “intuition”.
Davina shared her thoughts to Instagram, writing: “2022 has been the biggest year of spiritual and mental growth for me and for the first time in my life I can finally hear the whispers of my heart.
“I’m in touch with my intuition and I’ve stopped people pleasing and I’m tackling my fear of judgement head on. This year I grew into something I could have never imagined… MYSELF.”
Look, we can kind of see how fans got confused, considering Davina and Jaxon have been together since 2019. They welcomed their daughter Mila-Mae Manuel that same year.
She also explained that she has been going to wellness retreats by herself and works on daily journaling to get more in touch with what she wants, including how to “stand up for” and “forgive” herself.
In another post, Davina wrote: “You just have to love yourself to know you deserve more.”
Thankfully, it looks like self-love isn’t exclusive to being loved by others for this MAFS icon!
