Former Married at First Sight bride Davina Rankin has confessed that she wasn’t the only bride “cheating” on her TV husband during her time in the marriage experiment.
The 29-year-old rose to villain status during the show’s fifth season in 2018 after she was embroiled in an affair with Dean Wells behind the back of her TV hubby, Ryan Gallagher.
Now, during her latest reality TV stint, the Brisbanite opened up to her I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia co-star Beau Ryan about other cheeky contestants on her season of MAFS.
“There were other people within the series that were fooling around with each other… but production would not let that go to air because they already had a narrative,” she said during Monday’s episode. OMG! We can only imagine how unhinged MAFS would be if we were privy to mutiple cheating scandals!
Davina Rankin On Not Leaving Her House While Married At First Sight Was Airing
The mum-of-one also revealed that she didn’t leave her home for months while her villain edit was playing out on screen.
“When it all came out and MAFS was airing, I didn’t leave the house for three months,” she confessed. “My parents were so devastated for me. It was just rough.”
Like many TV villains, Davina was mercilessly attacked online for her portrayal on the show. When she first dropped into the Aussie “jungle”, she referred to herself as the “most trolled person in Australia.”
However, she attributes a portion of that negativity to Ryan, accusing him of pretending to like her despite the pair agreeing off-camera that they just weren’t into each other.
Davina said: “He was sleeping on the couch the whole time – we did hook up purely at the beginning to see if there was anything, and then we did and we were like, ‘Okay, that was f***ed. Let’s never do that again.'”

After meeting up behind their respective partners’ backs, Davina and Dean decided to continue on MAFS together. But Dean had second thoughts and ultimately chose to stay with his “wife”, Tracey Jewel.
“The plan was to come back into the experiment together but at the last minute everyone screwed me,” Davina said. “[Dean]had decided to stay with his Mrs but he outed that we’d been doing this whole thing.
“Then Ryan pretended that he was really upset because ‘we were getting along so well’, but we hated each other.”
In the time that’s passed since her foray into reality TV, Davina says she has continually worried about what others think about her as a result of her actions.
“For so long I’ve been worried about what people think of me,” she said. “Even the years after it used to gut me because I could tell people thought they knew me.”
Ryan Gallagher’s Not-So-Subtle-Jab At His TV Wife’s Latest Gig
Taking to Instagram last week, Ryan shared a not-so-subtle jab regarding Davina’s latest gig on I’m A Celebrity.
“Yes, I am very aware that my ex-wife is on a TV show, I’m quite aware of it,” he said in a short clip on his Instagram story.
“Nope, I don’t wish her any bad at all, I wish her the best. It’s a shame it wasn’t filmed in South Africa where cheetahs are native.” LOL.
“Do I mind my ex-wife now? Well, there’s a reason why Channel 10 won’t be on for the next month, I can assure you.”
