A Bachelor star’s boyfriend was BUSTED by A Current Affair after he was accused of selling dodgy cars for inflated prices.
As revealed in episode 238 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Andrew Fraser-Scott, the boyfriend of Gemma White, who appeared in Locky Gilbert’s season in 2020, was pursued by reporters in 2019 after posing as a motor dealer while unlicensed.
The former polo player was also accused of selling “lemons” for inflated prices to unsuspecting customers and pocketing the price difference.
Scam victim Merill Walters told A Current Affair that she bought a camper van for $12,000 after being told it was worth $19,000.
With little knowledge of cars, she decided to enlist the help of a broker and was recommended to Cartel Dealers.
“I rang and said what I was looking for, and they said yes, they could definitely help, that they go to auctions and check vehicles out and buy exactly what I wanted,” she said.
However, Merill was later told by her mechanic that the car had $15,000 worth of damage and a ruined motor.
“There isn’t one panel which isn’t damaged,” she said at the time.
“I felt pretty stupid but then I thought how clever they were. It was so orchestrated.”
Andrew later faced a whopping 77 charges, including misleading representations regarding price and acting as a motor dealer while unlicensed.
He pleaded guilty to the charges and was fined $30,000.
Meanwhile, his company, AFS Corporation, was fined $20,000 and ordered to pay $33,269.52.

Gemma and Andrew started dating in October 2021 and regularly share a number of loved-up snaps together.
The relationship sparked shortly after the Miss Australia Continents 2018 winner failed to find love on Locky Gilbert’s season of The Bachelor.
Gemma revealed she’d applied after ending a six-year relationship which she described it as the “lowest point in my life”.
“It was taking a huge toll on my health,” she told Courier Mail of her relationship prior to going on The Bachelor 2020.
“I only want to get engaged and married once in my life. I want the happily ever after fairytale.”
