The Challenge Australia 2022’s Emily Seebohm has opened up about her budding romance with co-star Ryan Gallagher.
Chatting to Yahoo Lifestyle, the Olympian revealed how her close alliance with the Married at First Sight star on the show, transitioned into a real-life love story.
“Me and Ryan, obviously we were paired with each other first challenge, we won and we worked really well together,” she explained.
“Inside the game, we were just the people that could trust each other. Ryan had my back one hundred and fifty per cent and I had his back one hundred and fifty per cent, and that’s hard to find in a game where you’ve gotta lie, you’ve gotta deceive people and you’ve gotta backstab people. And we just knew that from each other we weren’t going to do that.
“And that’s something that doesn’t come easy in life either, having someone that you can trust one hundred and fifty per cent.”
Emily expressed that their relationship was only platonic during The Challenge and things didn’t get romantic until after they were both eliminated.
“After the show, we both met up in Argentina and we decided to go travelling together and yeah, we’ve kind of been inseparable since the show,” she continued.
“I’m super happy. I know I didn’t win the show, but I definitely feel like I won… We’re saying it’s love.”

Earlier this week, the pair finally confirmed that they are indeed an item after months of speculation.
Posting to Instagram, the lovebirds both debuted their romance with two telling snaps; one which shows the smiling pair embracing and another of the duo looking every inch the loved-up couple while posing on a balcony.
“Letting you in on a little secret 🤫” the Olympian captioned her post with her new bae.

ICYMI: As reported in episode 213 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Ryan and Emily became increasingly close on the set of The Challenge.
Then during episode 215 of the So Dramatic! podcast, host Megan Pustetto revealed that a mate of Emily’s had slid into our DMs to confirm that she and Ryan were one hundo per cent A THING.
Also previously reported by So Dramatic!, reality die-hards noticed that Emily and Ryan posted content from similar locations while travelling after the show.
One of their co-stars even predicted that sparks were flying, however, disregarded the inkling due to Emily reportedly having a bae at the time, however, a friend later confirmed it.
