The Bachelor Australia 2013‘s Tim Robards copped a mouthful from his fans after likening his wife Anna Heinrich to iconic Sesame Street character Big Bird.
Taking to Instagram on November 1, the 40-year-old shared that he and his Bachie final pick were guests of Lexus Australia at the 2022 Melbourne Cup — but not before taking a not-so-subtle jab at his wife’s bold yellow outfit.
“Found big bird at the birdcage [sic],” he penned alongside a photo of the couple. LOL!
It wasn’t long before the Neighbours actor’s fans slid into the comment section to scold him for his choice of comparison.
“You’ll be going from bird cage to DOG HOUSE [sic],” one of Tim’s followers wrote.
“Big bird lol, love it, did she hit you with her handbag [sic],” another questioned. “You guys look gorgeous.”
Meanwhile, another mused that the father of one was lucky to still be on his two feet: “Big Bird!!! Lucky [you’re] still standing.”
Despite the lighthearted backlash, Anna didn’t seem to mind her hubby’s comment about her Eliya The Label gown and matching Ford Millinery headpiece.
Instead, she penned a string of lemon emojis in response to Tim’s cheeky comment.
During the November 1 Cup celebrations, Tim sported a Calibre Australia get-up, complete with a floral shirt.
However, we’re yet to hear Anna poke fun at his ‘fit — well, publicly, at least!
