Love Island Australia 2021 winner Tina Provis has revealed what she found most “embarrassing” about her breakup with her co-star, Mitch Hibberd.
The fan-favourites won viewers’ hearts and $50,000 in prize money, all thanks to their heartwarming romance on the hit dating show. However, it all came crashing down soon after their win and Mitch was quick to move on with another co-star, Emily Ward.
The breakup still weighs heavy on fans’ minds, with one questioning Tina about the split in a recent Instagram Q&A.
“What was the hardest thing about your public break up? [sic],” they asked the 25-year-old.
According to Tina, the feeling of the relationship failing was the worst.
“The hardest part was the embarrassment that it didn’t work out,” she confessed.
Adding that she was “self-conscious” and “overly critical” of herself amid the public split, Tina said she feels “guilty” about admitting she was embarrassed.
“I had hundreds of lovely supportive and caring messages, but at the time, it was hard to shake the feeling that each message was a reminder that I’d been publicly embarrassed.”
Looking back on the relationship, however, the Islander realises that she has “nothing to feel ashamed of”.
“I wore my heart on my sleeve and gave it my all,” she penned. “Everything happens for a reason. Cest la vie. [sic].”

Despite speculation that Tina has a new man in her life, the beloved reality babe said she’s been “pretty closed off to dating” in recent months.
“I wanted to be a bit selfish and focus on making sure I’m content within myself so that when I am ready to date I can give someone my 100%,” she wrote to her followers.
Tina added that due to prioritising herself, loved ones and work, she wouldn’t have managed to date someone new. But the tide may be changing for the popular Islander.
“I’m in a good place at the moment, so I feel like I’m becoming more open to dating again,” she admitted.
However, it’s all dependant on whether “the right person came along”.
“I am in no rush, if the right person came along and we complimented each other’s lives then PLAY ON. [sic],” Tina mused.
“But until then enjoying livin life. [sic].”
