They may have had a rocky start to their on-again-off-again relationship, but Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti appear to be a shoo-in to win Love Island UK.
The finale for the hit reality dating series doesn’t hit screens until August 1 in the UK, however, there are already rumblings of which couple will take home £50,000 (approx. $100,000 AUD) in prize money.
According to UK betting agencies, the Turkish actress and her Italian bae are the favourites to win the eighth season of Love Island UK.
As of July 26, Ekin-Su and Davide sit at the top of the ladder with odds of £1.44 (or $2.50 AUD).
Following in hot pursuit is late entry and returnee Islander Adam Collard and OG contestant Paige Thorne at £4.00 ($6.96).
They are followed by Luca Bish and Gemma Owen at £7.50 ($13.04). Then, Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack at £13.00 ($22.61).
The least likely pair to take out the win is Andrew Le Page and Tasha Ghouri with odds of £15.00 ($26.09).
The drama doesn’t stop once the winning couple has been announced, however.
The Love Island victors are then handed an envelope each, with one containing the prize money and the other, zilch.
Whoever’s envelope holds the £50,000 can choose whether they steal it for themselves, or split with their bae.
TBH, with the rollercoaster that’s been #Ekinde, we honestly can’t tell what the outcome will be if they win!
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu Is Pegged to Become a Millionaire After Love Island UK 2022
Regardless of whether she takes out the win, Ekin-Su’s popularity will see her reach new heights of fame post-show.
The Love Island bombshell recently hit over one million followers — 1.2M to be exact — on Instagram.
This makes her the first cast member to do so this season.
She’s even bypassed Adam, who already had a following of one million after his OG stint on the show in 2018.
According to UK digital marketing firm 10Yetis, having one million followers unlocks the potential to earn around £10,000 (or approx. $20,000 AUD) per promotion.
So, Davide or no Davide, Ekin-Su is about to be Ekin-Super rich!
