What do you get when you drop a group of hot, young and (very) horny swimwear-clad singles, smack bang in the middle of paradise? Some bloody addictive reality TV, also known as Love Island UK.
The series premiered across the pond with 10 single guys and girls looking to find love, a good old pash and a better Instagram ratio.
Host Laura Whitmore has returned to helm a bunch of newbies, including Gemma Owens, 19, fishmonger Luca Bish, 23 and for the first time ever, a deaf contestant — Tasha Ghouri, 23.
The oldest islanders, Andrew Le Page and Davide Sanclimenti, are 27, while Gemma is the youngest is just 19. However, despite the age gap, Davide and Gemma have already shown interest in one another — and it’s kinda hot!
The islanders will compete in frisky challenges along the way, which (of course) brings up even MORE romance and drama. It’s way too easy to get hooked!
As we know, new islanders (bombs) come and go pretty regularly, creating new drama and offering new romance. But contestants better get loved-up quickly, as only “coupled-up” pairs can remain in the villa.
Best of all, Aussies can fight off the winter chill and get their Love Island fix with fast-tracked streaming.
Love Island UK is Mixing Up the OG Format
After eight seasons of the UK series, the Love Island producers decided to spice things up even more (if that’s even possible).
In 2022, islanders were paired off by UK viewers for the first time. However, Islanders can change who they are “coupled up” with in the infamous “Re-coupling Ceremony”.
If an islander is single at the end, they could get dumped from the island. Now that’s a double ditch, ouch!
Where is Love Island UK Filmed?
Even the setting has had a revamp. For the last five years, the UK villa was situated in Sant Llorenç des Cardassar in the East of Spain but this year, the Islanders are living a life of luxury in Mallorca.

Here’s everything you need to know about the contestants we’ve met so far!
Lucas Bish
The 23-year-old introduced himself as “Luca Bish and I sell fish”. Honestly, bravo for that one, mate. And you look gewd too!
Despite the fishy occupation, Paige’s first impression was he smelled really good.
Paige Thorne
Paramedic Paige Thorne, 24, was paired with Luca. But, is the fishmonger rugged enough for Paige? She said having a love interest having facial hair is “not a want, it’s a need”.
Amber Beckford
Amber Beckford is a 24-year-old nanny from London. She wants a man who is happy to be the little spoon, but is “done with little boy” and is “definitely after a real man”. We’ll see if Dami makes the cut.

Dami Hope
Dami Hope is a 22-year-old from Dublin. Despite his young age, he works as a senior microbiologist. But Dami calls his penis his “love stick” and has a heart-shaped birthmark down there… so there’s that.
Indiyah Polack
Indiyah Polack, 23, is a waitress from London. She would love someone tall and tattooed, with no facial hair. She was pretty happy that her initial partner Ikenna got pedicures. Kinky!
Ikenna Ekwonna
Ikenna Ekwonna thinks his abilities as a salesman will also help with him the ladies. The 23-year-old is a bum man, apparently. He explained he was intrigued by Indiyah at first look (and he thinks her “bum is good”).
Tasha Ghouri
Tasha Ghouri is a 23-year-old dancer. She is the first deaf contestant on Love Island UK. She wants to find someone who loves her for who she is.
Tasha thinks she and Andrew have a similar “vibe”. She hopes he’s a good onion.

Andrew Le Page
Real estate agent Andrew Le Page felt he needed to settle down because he was “getting on”. Did we mention he was 27?
He’s never been out with a blonde before, but as Gemma said; “first time for everything”.
Gemma Owen
19-year-old Gemma Owen is a dressage rider from Chester. She is looking for the classic “tall, dark and lets her be the boss”.. which is also what she looks for in a horse?
She seemingly loves Harry Potter, having named her horse Sirius Black. Her dad is famed footballer Michael Owen and she says being competitive is in her blood.
Liam Llewellyn
Clean-cut Liam Llewellyn is a 22-year-old student who believes in love at first sight. His friends describe him as “cheeky”.
Liam was “100 per cent happy” being coupled up with Gemma, but is he horsey enough for her now that the “Italian Stallion” walked in?
Davide Sanclimenti
Business owner Davide got the short end of the stick walking into the villa later than everyone else. Will the 27-year-old “Italian Stallion” create some drama early on?
