The Bachelor Australia‘s Laurina Fleure has admitted that she had a mountain of fears upon learning she was pregnant.

Nearly two months after announcing that she and partner James Black are expecting their first child, the 38-year-old has confessed that she was once worried about whether she’d “ever be responsible enough” to raise a baby.

Chatting to the Daily Telegraph, Laurina said there were tears aplenty when she found out that two would soon become three.

“I didn’t think I’d ever have children so there were a lot of tears at the start and just fear,” she said, adding that she even considered “whether [she] should see it through”.

“I wasn’t sure if I was prepared emotionally and spiritually … you experience a lot of emotions.”

Laurina — who appeared on Blake Garvey‘s season of The Bachelor in 2014 — considered her career her “main priority”, rather than motherhood.

The Melbourne-based beauty is the founder of Beauty Aqua beverages, which sells vitamin-infused sparkling water.

“My main priority was to get the business up and running because I borrowed all my mum’s money for it,’’ she said. “I thought how am I going to lift boxes and do all that when I’m pregnant.”

Laurina Fleure Reveals She’s “Madly In Love”

According to the Bachelor franchise star, Laurina promised herself that she wouldn’t bring a child into the world if she weren’t “madly in love”.

And, spoiler alert: she totally is!

“I am madly in love with the young man I’m with,” she said of 32-year-old James, who is a landscape construction businessman.

The entrepreneur also teased that wedding bells could soon be ringing for the couple, too.

“I’ve had a few boyfriends threaten to propose over the years,” she said. “James would love that and I’d be happy to have a ceremony in a couple of years but it’s not a priority.”
