Beauty and the Geek Australia 2022’s Emily Mccarthy is the loudest person at the party, and we absolutely love a confident woman!
And even though she exudes confidence, Emily also has another passion.
“Tanning, tanning and fake tanning”! LOL.
The 25-year-old is also a flight attendant from Sydney and has already travelled to over 56 countries.
And while she’s full of life, Emily applied for Beauty and the Geek to open up and show her vulnerable side.
“I want to talk more about my feelings, rather than always keeping things light-hearted,” she told 9Now.
“I want to find someone who can treat me the way I deserve to be treated. I’m looking for love, but if I get great friends out of it, then that’s amazing.”

Emily has had some rough break-ups and has tried many dating apps; however, just like the rest of us, she usually deletes them after 20 minutes.
She’s also passionate about health and fitness and loves hitting the gym and cooking for friends at home.
Emily Mccarthy’s Drink Driving Charge
Unfortunately, before BATG even aired, Emily was shrouded in controversy after it was revealed that she was found driving three times over the legal limit on November 7, 2021.
Emily blew 0.168 in a roadside breath test after she was pulled over in Sydney. She was then arrested and taken to Kogarah police station in Sydney.
The “beauty” was charged with high-range drink driving after pleading guilty to the offence and was also fined $500 when she faced the charges at Sutherland Local Court on January 13.
Emily told So Dramatic! via Nine’s publicity team that she “deeply regrets” the offence.
“I deeply regret my decision and take full responsibility for my actions,” she said. “I accepted the court outcome, and this has been a huge learning for me and something I will never do again.”
