Former bikie Sam “The Punisher” Abdulrahim — Married at First Sight Australia’s Jessika Power‘s ex-boyfriend — was shot eight times in broad daylight.
The 32-year-old ex-Mongols motorcyclist has suffered chest and stomach wounds after he was gunned down by a drive-by shooter on Saturday, June 25. He was attending his cousin’s funeral in Melbourne at the time.
Dashcam footage from the scene revealed a grey Mazda emerged from the convoy leaving Fawkner Cemetery before spraying bullets at Sam’s Mercedes four-wheel drive.
Despite facing life-threatening injuries, the professional boxer — who dated MAFS‘ Jessika in 2019 — drove himself to Fawkner police station to seek help.
The bikie was then taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital to receive treatment. One day after the attack, he was said to be in a stable condition.
The shooting comes just weeks after Sam left the Mongols outlaw gang. Key outlaw figures Toby Mitchell and Mark Balsillie also walked away from the organisation.

While the perpetrators remain at large, there is speculation that the gunman — or gunmen — may have also attended the funeral of Sam’s cousin, Naz. There is also increasing public speculation that the Mongols orchestrated the attack.
It is believed the Mazda used in the drive-by had “cloned” number plates attached to it.
The grey vehicle then crashed into a fire hydrant before the shooters carjacked a black Ford Territory along Sydney Road.
A woman and a child were inside the Ford, however, were uninjured.
Police are appealing for witnesses as they investigate the events leading up to the shooting.

Jessika and Sam reportedly began dating after she ended her short-lived romance with her Married at First Sight co-star Dan Webb.
The 30-year-old was photographed multiple times with the athlete. She also shared a number of loved-up snaps of the pair on Instagram.
The brief fling emerged a year after Sam was jailed for causing the death of an 88-year-old woman in a high-speed car crash in 2017.
