The Bachelorette Australia 2021‘s Beca Pressing has called out Abbie Chatfield for calling her a “self-centred f*ck” while discussing a recent TikTok on her podcast, It’s a Lot.

In a recent “half-joking” TikTok, Beca, who appeared on Brooke Blurton‘s historical Bachelorette season, questioned whether the rise in Australian Greens party voters in Queensland could be attributed to the influx of Melburnians who moved to the Sunshine State after the COVID-19 lockdowns.

Then, in the June 7 episode of It’s a Lot, Abbie said that she had “beef” with “someone from the Bachelor franchise” — and no, it’s not just Jimmy Nicholson and Holly Kingston!

“This really annoyed me,” she expressed after referencing Beca’s TikTok. “Get absolutely f*cked, you self-centred f*ck.”

The 26-year-old then said she disagreed given that (in her experience) many of her friends and fellow Brisbanites have been more left-leaning when it comes to politics for a “very, very long time”.

As discussed in episode 192 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Beca later took to her Instagram Story, sharing a snippet of Abbie’s podcast.

“Enough of you have DMd me this,” she captioned the Story before issuing a statement about the language used by her fellow Bachie alum.

Beca Pressing Calls Out Abbie Chatfield’s “Uncalled For” Language

Noting that she “loves” people who are “passionate” about things important to them, Beca couldn’t let the new Masked Singer judge’s “discourse” slide.

“The language used about me in the It’s a Lot podcast was both uncalled for, and straight up mean,” she penned.

“In a word where women are already overly criticized for their thoughts and opinions, I wish we could promote open discussions instead of name calling. [sic].”

The blue-ticker then explained that her TikTok was “half joking” while also “asking the question” of if her observations were valid.

“I’m genuinely interested,” she wrote. “I want to know what caused the massive shift in [Queensland voters], because I want it to continue… into every state.”

Beca continued by saying that words can have a “profound effect” on people, and therefore we need to be mindful of our language.

“The world in a very tumultuous place — especially right now,” she concluded. “Our words can have a profound effect on those around us, both negatively and positively.

“In a world where you can be anything, be kind.”
