In the stuffy corporate world everyone needs a good joke once in a while, so thank God the Celebrity Apprentice team has comedian Jean Kittson on board!
Jean — who is funny AF — has two daughters and they are actually the reason she signed on for Celebrity Apprentice Australia 2022.
The 67-year-old bonded with her two girls, Charlie and Victoria, by watching The Bachelor, Married at First Sight and MasterChef with them over lockdown.
Speaking of family, Jean is a family-orientated woman and has even written a book on parenting!
However, it is not your typical advice piece. Rather, her book, We Need to Talk About Mum & Dad, is a guide for aging parents.
“I really wrote it so that my daughters will know the right things to do for me,” Jean explained on Instagram.
This wasn’t Jean’s first book, however.
She also wrote raved-about You’re Still Hot to Me, which is about her personal experience with menopause, as well as Tongue Lashing.
Jean Kittson Has Had Quite the Impressive Career
The Celebrity Apprentice star made her comedy debut at the Melbourne comedy venue, Le Joke, in a series of solo performances before taking to the stage in the theatre iteration of Let the Blood Run Free. The show later became a TV series for Network Ten and was distributed globally.
She didn’t rise to national fame, however, until her appearance on ABC’s The Big Gig, in which she became known for her diverse comedy characters.
Following The Big Gig‘s success, she teamed up with Maryanne Fahey and became the first female comedians to have their own show on Australian TV.
Kittson Fahey went on to win a Silver Medal at the New York Television Festival.
Since then, Jean has added a litter of television credits to her name, including Flat Chat, Good News Week, The Great Debate Series and The Hundred With Andy Lee.
She has also appeared in several films, including The Nugget and Hating Alison Ashley. And if the latter isn’t good enough to land Jean in the Mum Hall of Fame, we don’t know what is!
