Australian Survivor 2022 star Jordie Hansen‘s ex-girlfriend has revealed he dumped her for former Bachelorette Sam Frost in a juicy tell-all.
Sam and Jordie met each other through her younger brother, Alex, who starred alongside his sister’s new bae on Australian Survivor: Blood vs Water this year.
However, as previously reported by So Dramatic!, Jordie already had a girlfriend when the pair started hanging out.
“Sam was aware of her but didn’t mind being a homewrecker,” one source confessed.
Now, Jordie’s ex-girlfriend Ash has spilled some piping hot tea about what really went down amid this messy AF love triangle.
Calling the Survivor star the “love of [her] life”, Ash revealed she and the 26-year-old had been seeing each other on and off since they were 17.
“We were like high school sweethearts, basically,” she said in episode 176 of the So Dramatic! podcast. “We’d seen other people during that time, but we’d always… find our way back to each other.”
After Jordie finished filming Survivor, Ash said the pair became “very committed” to each other because they “really wanted [their relationship] to just finally work out”.
However, she felt that his involvement in the famed reality series “changed him a bit”, and that was when their relationship began to unravel.
Ash Was In the Process of Moving to Melbourne When Jordie Broke Up With Her
As previously revealed by So Dramatic!, Ash was in the process of moving to Melbourne from Adelaide to be with Jordie.
“I was really looking forward to moving to Melbourne, and I was trying to make friends there,” she said, adding that she had been introduced to many of Jordie’s Survivor castmates.
“They were all so lovely and very welcoming… They seemed excited to get to know me and to meet ‘Jordie’s girlfriend’.”
However, after travelling back to Adelaide again, Ash had a “strange feeling come over” her as Jordie attended a viewing party for Survivor in Melbourne.
“I started to feel quite anxious… He wasn’t being himself,” she recalled. “I knew Sam was there, but I didn’t know her well enough to really think anything of it. I sort of just referred to her as ‘Alex from Survivor‘s’ sister.”
Then, someone sent Ash a video of Jordie and Sam together at the event.
“[They were] dancing near each other… looking at each other. I felt a bit weird,” she said. “But again, I just tried not to think too far into it.”
After the event, Jordie and Ash were discussing their future, organising a holiday and planning Easter festivities.
The next day, the Survivor star broke up with her.
What Happened When Jordie Dumped Ash?
According to Ash, the breakup was “the weirdest thing”.
“He’s basically called me up and just come right out and said, ‘I’m feeling quite anxious about us and I don’t know if we should be together anymore.’
She continued: “It was just like, ‘What is going on?’ It was the weirdest thing to hear because, in my head, everything was perfect. We were so good together.”
When she queried whether there was someone else in the picture, Jordie told Ash she was “silly for thinking that way.”
Two days later, she found out via Instagram Stories that her “high school sweetheart” was on a date with Sam.
Did Jordie Hansen and Sam Frost Already Know Each Other Before the Survivor Viewing Party?
When questioned whether she thought Sam was aware that she was “homewrecking” a relationship, Ash said she “didn’t know how to feel” about it.
“If that’s correct and she did know, and she didn’t care and she took my boyfriend away from me… It makes me angry,” she lamented. “I’ve heard that she did [know about me] from a few people [but] I don’t know if that’s true.”
However, Ash said she’d be “surprised” if Sam didn’t know Jordie had a girlfriend given the majority of the Survivor cast knew her — including Sam’s brother, Alex.
“[Sam is] portrayed as such an angel, like, she’s beautiful,” Ash said. “She seems like such a great person and I feel like a lot of people wouldn’t expect [this] from her.
“I hope it’s not true. I really do.”
