A famous friend of Nick ‘the Honey Badger’ Cummins may have accidentally announced that the former Bachelor secretly married his partner, Alexandra George.
They may have just revealed they’re expecting their own “little badger cub” this year, but according to Nick’s fellow SAS Australia alum Pete Murray, there could be something else they’re yet to *officially* announce!
The news came as Nick attended Byron Bay’s Bluesfest over the Easter long weekend, with singer-songwriter Pete spilling the tea during his set on Monday night.
So Dramatic! attended the gig, during which the So Beautiful singer gave a shoutout to the Honey Badger and his “wife” during the performance.
“I’m dedicating this song to my ‘good friend Nick Cummins and his wife Alexandra who are expecting a baby’.”
Was it just a slip of the tongue, or did Pete just announce to a whole crowd of festival-goers that not only is the Honey Badger a dad-to-be, but a husband, too and has secretly eloped?
A Badger Cub Is On the Way!
Just one day prior to the news of a potential marriage, Nick and Alexandra announced on Instagram that they are expecting their first child together.
“My darling and I look forward lovingly to the arrival of our little badger cub,” he penned alongside a sweet snap of the pair and their pup.
Alexandra also shared the same pic alongside an ultrasound of their impending arrival.
‘We decided to create a little hybrid!” she wrote. “Can’t wait to share this next chapter with the love of my life. Welcoming our little badger cub into this world shortly.”
While the Honey Badger and his bae only went public with their relationship in March 2021, one source dished to So Dramatic! two months earlier about the status of their relationship.
“They have been together for about a year but surprise, surprise, he had trouble committing,” a friend of Alex’s dished to So Dramatic! Podcast with Megan Pustetto at the time. “She had a tough time getting him to commit but now he is all in.”
The Honey Badger Previously Hinted At An Engagement
A secret marriage could be on the cards after a romantic getaway in October sparked engagement rumours among fans.
The former rugby star-turned-reality TV personality enjoyed a loved-up holiday with Alex at Queensland’s Tangalooma Resort.
Nick posted a photo of the pair drinking cocktails at sunset at the resort and fans flocked to the comments section of the post to ask if he had proposed to Alex.
“Am I the only one that was checking that finger?” wondered one eagle-eyed fan.
“When are ya gonna put a ring on that finger Nick?” another asked.
One person said it was the same spot where they proposed to their wife.
Another said: “Onya Badge, glad to see ya so happy with a lady.”
Alex also shared a number of loved-up videos to Instagram for Nick’s birthday and the captions seemed to add more fuel to the fire.
“Happy birthday my love,” she wrote. “May life be like this with you forever.”
