The Oppenheim Group is back with more real estate drama as Netflix’s Selling Sunset returns for its fifth season.
Netflix caused quite the stir when they dropped the premiere date for the next instalment of the hit series on Twitter on Wednesday.
Teasing a whole lotta “drama”, the streaming service revealed: “Selling Sunset finally returns with the premiere of Season 5 on April 22.”
The announcement was accompanied by a number of snaps from the newest season, including one of Chrishell Stause cosying up to the Oppenheim Group co-founder, Jason Oppenheim.
A romance between the pair has been hotly anticipated since it was teased at the conclusion of season four. However, Chrishell and Jason actually called it quits IRL just weeks after the most recent episodes were released in November 2021. #Awkward!

Returning stars Christine Quinn, Mary Fitzgerald, Romain Bonnet, Heather Rae El Moussa, Amanza Smith, Maya Vander and Davina Potratz will all feature in the next season. Plus, season four additions, Emma Hernan and Vanessa Villela are also back for realty success.
A New Cast Member Joins The Oppenheim Group In Season Five
The ever-expanding Selling Sunset cast is set to grow even more in season five, with luxury realtor Chelsea Lazkani joining the Oppenheim Group.
The British-Nigerian star already had a successful career in the industry before joining the team. In fact, she previously worked for LA’s Rodeo Realty — yup, the same brokerage that previously employed Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles star Josh Flagg.
Reentering the real estate game after starting a family, Chelsea brings a wealth of knowledge from her studies at both University of Birmingham and Scotland’s University of Dundee.
As for the drama — the hot new realtor told PEOPLE that Selling Sunset‘s fifth season is “so juicy”.
“I will say it’s really electric,” she confessed. “It’s nothing you’ve ever seen before on TV.”
What Happened Between Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim?
According to PEOPLE, multiple sources confirmed the Chrishell and Jason’s break-up. The news came only one week after the bombshell reator posted a video featuring her former bae on Instagram.
A few hours after the news broke, Jason confirmed his split from Chrishell via Instagram Story.
“While Chrishell and I are no longer together, we remain best friends and we will always love and support one another,” he said.
“She was the most amazing girlfriend I’ve ever had, and it was the happiest and most fulfilling relationship of my life.”
He continued: “While we have different wants regarding a family, we continue to have the utmost respect for one another. Chrishell is an exceptional human being and loving her and having her in my life is one of the best things that has ever happened to me.”
Selling Sunset returns for its fifth season on April 22, only on Netflix.
