Taking to his Instagram story with a lengthy statement on Wednesday, March 2, Locky revealed that he wanted to “clear things up with the comment” he made the night before.

“I never meant it in the way it was edited,” he said. “What I meant was that I am so lucky that I get to do what I love every day. I said I haven’t worked a day in the last 10 years because ‘when you do what you love you don’t work a day in your life’. [sic]”

Locky then said that that saying he didn’t know “how people go to work everyday”, the edit cut out “where I said to a job they hate”.

“Unfortunately this came across the wrong way.”

“I have done the 12 hour days 7 days a week, working my a*s off in the last 10 years of my life,” he added. “I am just doing what I love so I don’t see it as work.”

He then revealed that he had “done the hard yards” and “respect everyone else that does the same.”

Concluding the statement, the 31-year-old said that he and his “beautiful partner [Irena Srbinovska] and mother both work in healthcare and they are both so passionate about their jobs, I love that they get to do what they love.”

“I never meant for it to come across the way it did and I am deeply sorry if my comments offended anyone.”
