Since his on-screen blow-up with TV wife Holly Greenstein, Married at First Sight‘s Andrew Davis has been literally missing in action.

During Tuesday night’s episode, the infamous photo-ranking challenge devolved into chaos after Andrew admitted he wasn’t keen on his wife. Meanwhile, Holly criticised her beau for not giving the experiment a red-hot go.

The fiery stoush ended with the 39-year-old groom storming off set and demanding producers to ship him his belongings.

This altercation was the first step in Andrew distancing himself from the series. As reported in episode 146 of the So Dramatic! podcast, nobody from the MAFS 2022 production has heard from the groom since filming wrapped.

Prior to the series premiere, the motivational coach had a very prominent online presence, from an Instagram account with over 6,000 followers to regular episodes of his own podcast. However, everything has since been wiped from the web.

Producers Had To Break Up Andrew And Holly’s Argument

According to one Married at First Sight 2022 contestant, producers were called in to diffuse Andrew and Holly’s argument.

“It got so heated that producers had to step in and separate them,” they recalled.

An insider from production also revealed that the other contestants could hear the pair “yelling from down the corridor”.

Apparently, this caused “major concerns for Channel Nine”.

“They can’t afford any more bad publicity,” the production insider said, referring to the “Simon Blackburn debacle“.

The Remaining MAFS Contestants Were In The Dark About What Really Happened

Prior to Tuesday’s episode, the remaining couples were unsure what really unfolded between Andrew and Holly.

“None of us really know what happened behind closed doors,” one star spilled. “All the contestants have said they are dying to watch to see how it unfolded between them.”

They also added that during filming, producers were “very vague” about the situation.

“They will definitely try to sweep the whole thing under the rug.”

Meanwhile, another contestant revealed that after one of their arguments, Holly attended a Commitment Ceremony alone and provided some insight into what went down.

“She didn’t say much to us,” the contestant told So Dramatic!. “Just that she never wants to see him again and what he did was unforgivable.” OMG! Surely there’s more going on behind the scenes than what we’re seeing on TV, then!

So Dramatic! has been informed that Andrew does return after walking out on Holly during the bride and groom ranking challenge, but will later walk out again, leaving Holly to attend a Commitment Ceremony on her own.

Andrew Is Refusing To Do Any Press For Married at First Sight

Unlike his co-stars, Andrew hasn’t done any publicity for the series despite being a heavily featured contestant.

“We all think Andrew freaked out about what he’s done,” one MAFS star confessed to So Dramatic!. “Hence why he opted out of the media and publicity and stuff.”

Another contestant echoed this sentiment.

“He’s freaking out about how it’s going to be portrayed,” they said. “He didn’t come back for any of the filming, like the boy’s night or the reunion.”

The source also revealed that a number of the grooms reached out to Andrew. However, he “[doesn’t] want anything to do with the show”.

Andrew’s Mental Health Struggles Since Quitting MAFS

Not only did So Dramatic! host Megan Pustetto chat to contestants, she also spoke to a close friend of Andrew’s.

According to the friend, the Sydneysider’s mental health declined drastically after filming.

“He had a full breakdown,” the source confessed. “I believe he spent time in a mental facility and was diagnosed with various disorders.”

Along with the alarming news of Andrew’s wellbeing, the friend said the former TV groom recently returned to the mental health facility.

“He checked himself back in once the show started airing as it all became too much for him again,” they said.

The source continued: “Andrew wants nothing to do with the show or any of the contestants on it. He’s regretting doing it big time.

“It’s already completely ruined his health, personal reputation and any future business prospects.”
