Former Bachelorette Sam Frost has broken her silence on her decision to leave her role on Home and Away following her controversial anti-vax stance.

The 32-year-old, who played Jasmine Delaney on the hit soap, left the series in January. The move came just months following the TV star’s bizarre anti-vax rant on Instagram in October.

At the time, the actress claimed unvaccinated people were facing “segregation” from society.

Now, Sam has discussed leaving her “dream job” in a lengthy Instagram post made to her mental health awareness page, Believe by Sam Frost.

“I quit my dream job at Home & Away to look after my mental health,” she penned. “I needed to take a step back, go home and be with my family. And most importantly take good care of my health and well-being.”

Sam, who appeared as The Bachelorette in 2016, revealed that she is now spending her time “doing the things [she] always wanted to do but couldn’t because [she] was too busy working”.

Listing the sacrifices she made in order to uphold her busy career, Sam admitted that she’d been “distant” in many of the relationships in her life.

The reality star-turned-actress also confessed that she is sometimes anxious about “being able to afford [her] mortgage”.

“But then I remind myself the importance of putting our mental health first, and taking time out to heal our mind, body and soul. The rest will fall into place..”

What Did Sam Frost Say About COVID-19 Vaccinations?

In an IGTV video in October, Sam revealed she felt that she was being treated as “less of a human” as a result of her vaccine status.

“I was really hesitant about doing a video or even speaking up about this sort of thing, but I feel like it’s getting to a point now in the world where there’s a lot of segregation, a lot of harsh judgment, and it’s taking its toll on my mental health.”

When she was filming Home and Away, Sam was living in NSW, where unvaccinated people were unable to enter hospitality venues (that’s bars, clubs, cafes, you name it) until December 1.

At the time the video was posted, that date was less than two months away. Hardly a catastrophic display of “segregation” if you ask us.

Sam then listed the various reasons people weren’t getting vaccinated before revealing she wasn’t vaccinated herself.

“I want to tell those people that feel like they’re getting separated from society – well, I’m not vaccinated, and there’s a reason why I’m not,” she said before explaining she’s opting to keep that reason private.
