It seems as though Married at First Sight’s Cody Bromley has forgotten which show he is on, after thinking new bride Selina Chhaur needed to halt the breaks on their brand new relationship.
During Wednesday’s third episode of the 2022 season, Cody seemed to freak the f*ck out when Selina not only brought up kids, but asked what he was looking for in a relationship. The actual premise of the show, bro.
Thinking his new bride “came on too strong”, Cody not only managed to make her feel incredibly awkward (did you see those teary eyes?!), but the whole of Australia in the process.
“We should get matching tattoos,” Selina told her groom while he almost choked on his beer.
Then, thanks to some seriously uncomfortable editing, we saw Selina gushing over her new husband while he simultaneously hated every second of their first dinner together.
“We just clicked,” she said, between cuts of palpable tension — and not the good kind.
Thankfully — for everyone watching at home — Selina noticed Cody’s discomfort and decided to tone things down, but girl, don’t ever let anyone dim your sparkle!!
Why Was Cody’s Reaction So Concerning?
Look, if this was real life, we’d forgive the budgie smuggler enthusiast for wanting to run for the hills, but this is Married at First Sight Australia — a show where you LITERALLY get married and commit to a partnership. Frankly, Cody needs to chill the f*ck out.
Which by the way, doesn’t seem like will happen anytime soon, especially with the honesty box rearing its ugly head for the first time this season.

After Selina read out the question, “are you attracted to me”, Cody stunned her with the longest silence EVER. And we mean, EVER.
And then this:
“Umm, OK. I don’t know what it is, but it’s like my schlong isn’t coordinating with my head,” he says. And well, f*ck. Is anyone else getting Bryce Ruthven 2.0 vibes over here??
Firstly, Cody. Selina is a f*cking goddess and secondly, while you have every right not to be attracted to her, we’re betting it’s because you’ve decided to retreat into your man-made hole where commitment, love and hope for all existence doesn’t exist, non? Grr…
