Married at First Sight isn’t 2022 bride Selina Chhaur’s first time searching for everlasting love on a reality TV show.
This year’s cast list may have been littered with social media influencers keen to earn their blue tick. However, the 32-year-old is already a star in her own right. Well… sort of.
Back in 2019 the hairdresser appeared on The Proposal, and the cunning producers at Channel Seven decided to air her episode at the same time Married at First Sight was live.
Earlier in the season, eagle-eyed fans recognised Selina from the short-lived Channel Seven series, in which contestants get engaged upon their first meeting.
Kind of like a baby version of MAFS, each episode featured a secret bachelor or bachelorette getting to know ten potential suitors. At the conclusion of the episode, the singleton would propose to whoever they felt they had the greatest connection with.
Who Did Selina Chhaur Get Engaged To On The Proposal?
During her episode of The Proposal, the South Australian ended up getting engaged to Aaron Shaw.
To absolutely nobody’s surprise, the pair didn’t last, and Aaron went on to star in Love Island Australia. He eventually came third alongside villa bae Cynthia Taylu.
Following the episode’s broadcast, Selina shared a since-deleted YouTube video explaining why the couple split.
“After the cameras and the lights and the glitz and glam was gone, the next day it was Aaron and I,” she said.
“We really got to know each other on a whole other level and we both just instantly knew that it was a friendship connection and that was all it was.”
In a rare feat when it comes to today’s breakups, Selina and Aaron still follow each other on Instagram.
