Married at First Sight Australia is back for its ninth season in 2022 and with it comes a host of brand new contestants looking for drama love.
Yep, we’ve already suffered through eight seasons of this Godforsaken show and you bet we’ll be on the couch with a wine in hand once the drama kicks off again on Monday, January 31.
Once again the brides and grooms have been matched by Married at First Sight‘s resident psychologists John Aitken and Mel Schilling, plus sexologist Alessandra Rampolla.
Given they’ll only meet for the first time at the altar, the Married at First Sight contestants are putting a whole lotta faith in the “experts” to match them with The One… because that’s gone down SO well in the past!

Domenica, 28
Makeup artist from NSW
Domenica, AKA “Dom”, knows what it means to be a bride. After all, her MAFS wedding will be her second time down the aisle!
Despite the relationship being four years long, Dom broke it off after just two months of marriage. As a result, the 28-year old still has her walls up, but she’s hoping her new groom will break down those barriers, while also being a whiz in the bedroom!
Having been raised in an Italian household, Dom is after a family-orientated man with who she can one day start her own Italian clan.
Ella, 27
Beautician from Victoria
Despite being an absolute stunner, beautician Ella hasn’t been in a serious relationship for nine years.
The 27-year-old values strong sexual chemistry within a relationship and hopes her future hubby will be her own personal hype man and best friend.
Over men that can’t commit to her, Ella is on the hunt for an extremely loyal man that she can do life with.
Holly, 36
Cinema manager from NSW
In the past, Holly was sure she found The One, however, realised he wasn’t the guy for her when he revealed he didn’t want kids.
At 36-years-old, the cinema manager is aware that her biological clock is ticking, which is why she enlisted the help of the MAFS experts.
Will she be matched with the man —and future baby daddy — of her dreams?
Olivia, 27
Teaching student from NSW
Olivia’s dating life was put on pause when she became a carer for her terminally ill father.
Instead of hitting the town with friends on the weekend, the 27-year-old is more likely found watching movies while knitting.
She also attributes her failure to find love to her lack of self-confidence, and hopes to find a man who matches her romantic qualities.
Samantha, 26
Fashion brand manager from Queensland
This career-driven bride was previously under the guise that she would marry her ex-partner of four years. That is, until he cheated on her, leaving Samantha with a plethora of trust issues.
Enlisting the help of the MAFS experts, the 26-year-old is keen to meet an ambitious, self-sufficient older man at the end of the aisle.
Selin, 32
Executive assistant from NSW
Mum-of-one Selin comes from a close-knit Turkish family, so she’s hoping her future hubby is a family man who will always put her and her son first.
Having been a single mum for three years, her MAFS wedding will also serve as her first date since her son was born!
Leaving her “mum guilt” behind, the 32-year-old is still wary of being hurt in the social experiment.
Selina, 32
Hairdresser from South Australia
Hailing from Cambodian and Chinese parents, Selina is breaking tradition by seeking out a husband on TV. She says if her parents had their way, she’d already be married to an older, wealthy Asian!
She’s hoping her groom is genuinely keen on her, as in the past men have often seen the 32-year-old as a novelty rather than a self-sufficient, ambitious woman.
Tamara, 29
Operations manager from Queensland
As a self-proclaimed Alpha, Tamara has no qualms about telling it as it is.
The 29-year-old already owns her own home, so she has high expectations that her future partner will match her financial literacy and not be intimidated.
However, her TV groom must be an impressive catch, because the Queenslander admits that she gets bored quickly, and values someone who takes pride in their appearance.

Carpenter from NSW
This 25-year-old has never had a serious relationship, but maintains he has no issue garnering female attention!
With a secret fear of rejection, Al is keen to find a gal who will ultimately be able to ground him.
He still lives at home with his mum and has been raised alongside five sisters, so this cheeky chippy will undoubtedly know how to treat a woman well!
Mitch, 26
Financial planner from Queensland
It wouldn’t be Married at First Sight without a model in the mix, and we’re sure Mitch will spice up this year’s experiment.
After all, he’s never spent two consecutive nights with a woman before AND he’s still close with all of his exes. A recipe for disaster? NEVER!
Leaving a string of unsuccessful relationships in his wake, the 26-year-old is hoping MAFS teaches him how to find and maintain a committed relationship.
Andrew, 39
Personal trainer/Motivational speaker from NSW
Hailing from Texas, Married at First Sight is a third-time’s-the-charm type situation for Andrew, who has previously been married twice.
Four years ago, the 39-year-old moved to Australia with his second wife, with whom he amicably co-parents a young daughter.
Andrew hopes his future bride is spontaneous with a sense of humour, who he can also have more children with,
Anthony, 38
Salesman/Semi-pro wrestler from Victoria
This 38-year-old is the literal embodiment of “tall, dark and handsome”. However, his ease of gaining female attention means he’s ended up with the wrong women in the past.
While Anthony is searching for a woman who is passionate and challenges him both emotionally and intellectually, there is one other person in his life they’ll have to impress: his nine-year-old daughter.
Outside of his career in sales, he also appears in the wrestling ring as “Tommy Hellfire”.
Brent, 33
Hospitality manager from NSW
Brent previously spent seven years in Dubai running a successful events management company, however, his return to Australia has him in search of a new thrill: finding the love of his life.
Not one for pretentious people, Brent is looking for a natural woman who is sensitive and non-judgemental.
The 33-year-old also has one non-negotiable in a relationship: his lucky lady must have well-maintained feet, otherwise, he might be running for the door!
Brent is also a well-known Instagram influencer, with his account honing over 51,000 followers.
Cody, 30
Personal trainer/Swim coach from NSW
Having spent the majority of his 20s adventuring around the world, Cody is after someone he can share his future endeavours with.
The 30-year-old also lost his father when he was 15, which resulted in him stonewalling others and avoiding serious relationships.
He’s not keen on PDA — he even struggles with holding hands! However, he hopes his Married at First Sight bride is patient and loving as they work together to overcome his issues.
Jackson, 30
Plumber from Victoria
A self-described class clown, Jackson also has a sensitive side, having grown up as the protector of his family.
The 30-year-old’s weakness is a gal with nice eyes and a smile, and prefers that his future bride is smaller than him… which shouldn’t be an issue considering this gentle giant is over six-foot-tall!
Jack, 26
Financial planner from NSW
26-year-old Jack has one key requirement for his future bride: must love dogs. After all, his best friend is his pup, Flynn.
Jack isn’t a fan of dating apps and prefers to meet a woman who shares his passion for music and adventure in a more traditional way. Well, there’s nothing more traditional than an arranged marriage on national TV!
He is also known to be the voice of reason, a “peacemaker” who gets along with anyone and everyone.
Married at First Sight Australia 2022 begins on Monday, January 31.
