Brent Vitiello is one of eight new grooms searching for love on Married at First Sight Australia 2022. But he’s going to have to overcome his bizarre foot-phobia first.
When you take the plunge and sign up for one of Australia’s most beloved reality shows, there is certainly plenty to be scared of.
What if your new partner doesn’t like you? Or worse, what if Australia doesn’t like you (*cough* Bryce Ruthven *cough*)?
But for Brent, there is one fear far greater than that of being humiliated on national TV: feet!
The latest trailer for Married at First Sight Australia revealed that Brent has a total phobia of feet.
He may have lived overseas for seven years but as the trailer quips, “Now, he will go toe-to-toe with his greatest fear.”
Brent confesses feet “freak me out completely,” speaking over footage of his new bride Tamara Djordjevic slipping on a pair of strappy (toe-exposing) heels.
“It’s more of a phobia than something I just don’t like,” he continues. The teaser shows Brent visibly distressed, telling himself “just don’t look down.”
“I will not be rubbing my wife’s feet, not now, not ever,” he declares.
Let’s just hope Tamara doesn’t have a foot fetish…
Who is Married at First Sight Australia 2022 Groom Brent Vitiello?
The 33-year-old has spent the last seven years living overseas in Dubai but returned to Sydney in mid-2021.
Described in his Instagram bio as “cheeky”, “honest”, and “loyal”, Brent admitted to his followers that he knows “an experiment isn’t the most conventional way to find your new partner.” We know, Brent!
He continued “Coming onto #MAFS is a way to meet someone new, work through my faults, face them head-on and learn how to be the best man I can be in a relationship.”
Let’s hope the MAFS experts can find a perfect match for Brent (who, let’s be honest, seems like a TOTAL catch)!
Brent Vitiello Has Already Had is MAFS Motives Called Into Questioning
Back in September last year, Brent was still a MAFS mystery man.
One source close to Brent told So Dramatic! that he isn’t interested in a relationship “at all” and well, what contestant is when they apply for MAFS?!
“[He] just wants to become known but that’s not really a shock,” the source said, noting she found this out through a friend who has been “hooking up with him recently”. Ooh, a potential secret girlfriend situation already? Maybe we do have another Bryce situation on our hands…
However, Brent certainly isn’t struggling for notoriety, already boasting an impressive 52.9k followers on Instagram.
The tatted hunk treats his followers to regular snaps of his lavish lifestyle, often referencing how much he misses Dubai (or “Dubs”, as he calls it). He is known for being a party boy and has even met all-time icon Will Smith!
I guess we will have to wait and see his true colours when the show premiers on Channel 9 on January 31st at 7:30.
