Bachelorette 2021 star Brooke Blurton has revealed exclusively to So Dramatic! why she refriended former bestie Abbie Chatfield following their messy feud.

The pair fell out last November after the It’s A Lot podcast host “hard-launched” her relationship with Brooke’s third runner-up, Konrad Bien-Stephen, on the eve of the finale.

At the time, Brooke dubbed Abbie a “narcissist”, claiming she “tainted” the sacredness of the history-making season.

However, in the wake of her split with her winner Darvid Garayeli in early January, the Bachelorette refollowed Abbie on the ‘gram.

In episode 138 of the So Dramatic! podcast, host Megan Pustetto relayed a statement provided by Brooke about their rekindled friendship.

“We’re not friends, but civil,” the 27-year-old said. “I apologised for calling her a narcissist and she apologised for her timing. That’s all.”

While remaining “amicable”, Brooke maintains that she and Abbie “won’t ever be friends again”. This is a stance “agreed” on by both TV personalities.

A source close to Brooke also weighed in, adding that her feud with Abbie was “hard” because both media stars work in the industry and have mutual connections.

“It was awkward for them and even more awkward for their mutual friends and business partners,” they confessed.

What Has Abbie Chatfield Said About Her Feud With Brooke Blurton?

While many thought Abbie extended an olive branch to Brooke following her public separation from Darvid, the hit podcast-turned-radio host revealed on Sunday that Brooke actually made the first move in repairing what was broken.

“She just refollowed me on Instagram,” she told the Herald Sun. “I never unfollowed her, but she refollowed me recently, so there is not too much to that story.”

Though it appears that things are squared between the pair now, things were left a little murky even after Abbie addressed their grievances with a public apology in December.

Acknowledging that the timing of her relationship announcement was wrong, the reality star said she “didn’t take into account” the “inherent privilege [she holds] as a white woman”.

She continued: “My actions had the potential to undermine the importance that this pivotal season of The Bachelorette holds to the First Nations and LGBTQIA+ Communities.”

“I’m sorry.”
