Australia’s most talked-about experiment, Married at First Sight Australia is back for 2022 and we have been blessed with an official air date.

Premiering on Monday, January 31, the ninth season of the hit series will follow ten genetically blessed couples as they meet at the altar for the very first time.

Announced with a brand new tantalising trailer, the latest season is set to be even more dramatic than the last… If that’s even possible!

The 40-second clip warns fans of the ratings juggernaut to “prepare [their] hearts” as MAFS descends into our lives once again.

“20 new strangers will put love in the hands of science,” a voiceover teases, before one groom exclaims: “My wife’s a psychopath”. And damn, there’s always at least one, isn’t there?

Who Is In the Cast of Married at First Sight Australia 2022?

Last year’s initial teaser promised “the most handsome new grooms and breathtaking new brides the series has ever hitched”.

While this will be a feast for the eyes, let’s hope their personalities are something to write home about.

The cast includes influencer Brent Vitiello, driving instructor and all-round bombshell Olivia Frazer, Melbourne florist Jess Seracino and Texan personal trainer Andrew Davis — just to name a few.

John Aiken, Alessandra Rampolla and Mel Schilling are Returning

All three experts John Aiken, Alessandra Rampolla and Mel Schilling are returning, set to ensure our couples stay on track.

John has over 25 years of experience specialising in relationships. He focuses on giving out practical advice to contestants while Alessandra brings the spice once again while capturing the hearts of many Australians.

The 47-year-old Puerto Rican has over 20 years of experience as a certified sexologist and has a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. This goes without mentioning a whole host of other sexology degrees to her name.

Mel, on the other hand, has plenty of experience in the relationships department, having been a love expert for 20 years. She is all about educating and motivating people to be their best, no matter where they’re from!
