Abbie Chatfield has gained thousands of Instagram followers in the wake of her fall-out with 2021 Bachelorette Brooke Blurton.
In case you missed it — Abbie was called out by her ex-pal on social media for “tainting” The Bachelorette‘s final week as a result of hard-launching her relationship with Brooke’s third runner-up Konrad Bien-Stephen.
Brooke had criticised her friend, who actually appeared alongside her in the finale, for “displaying what white privilege looks like” and labelled her behaviour as “a very clear display of narcissism”.

Following the Bachelorette‘s damning statement, Abbie immediately lost approximately 2,000 fans, dropping her follower count from 360k to 358k.
However, the It’s A Lot podcast host has still managed to gain a whopping 17,000 Instagram followers overall over the past 30 days.
Considering the cheeky pap snap of the reality star and Konrad pashing in Byron Bay went viral around this time last month, we can only guess that news of the hot-topic relationship sparked the spike in Abbie’s followers.
At the time of writing, the 26-year-old still has a 360,000-strong following.
Abbie Chatfield’s Apology
In response to the backlash she received following Brooke’s post, Abbie issued an apology (of sorts) on Instagram.
Stating that the hard launch of her relationship was not made “with malice”, the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here winner said in hindsight, she would have done things differently.
“I now understand the timing of publically shared our relationship should have been more considered,” she wrote. “That is my fault.”
Later issuing a question box on her Instagram story labelled “Konrad vibes”, a follower accused the reality star’s relationship of being a “nicely curated PR stunt”.
Abbie then sarcastically replied: “Thank you. I desperately needed the PR at the height of my career… Not like this was a huge decision to be public that actually went against PR advice.”
Yet despite maintaining the relationship is far from a publicity stunt, it seems the rise of #Krabbie has certainly worked in her favour!
