After we saw him booted from The Bachelorette last week, Konrad Bien-Stephens hasn’t been able to stop gushing about his new flame, Abbie Chatfield.

The tradie confirmed his relationship with the fellow Bachie alum after snaps emerged of them macking on in Byron Bay. Now, he’s spilled the beans on how he and the Love Island Afterparty host initially met!
Chatting to Marie Claire, Konrad said their meet-cute was “totally random”.
Apparently, he was out for lunch with a friend in Byron, who Abbie also happened to know!
“While we were having lunch [my friend] got a message from Abbie saying ‘I’m in Byron, let’s catch up for a drink!’ So My friend was like, ‘let’s go down and meet her,'” Konrad detailed.
“We just hit it off straight away,” the 31-year-old admitted. “She’s just an amazing girl.”
Konrad Bien-Stephens Reveals What Drew Him To Abbie Chatfield
Having previously confessed he’s “head over heels” for Abbie, Konrad revealed to Marie Claire the reasons why he’s drawn to the reality star.
“I just think she’s got something so special about her,” he said. “She’s so smart and witty and hilarious… she’s super smart and the banter is great.”
He also added that “she’s stunning… she’s got beautiful eyes”.
When confirming their romance following his Bachelorette exit, Konrad said despite it being “very early days”, what he has with Abbie is a “legitimate thing”.
“I mean, everything happens for a reason so maybe this is what was meant to be.”
Abbie Chatfield Is Yet To Speak Publicly About Romance With Konrad Bien-Stephens
Despite Konrad publicly declaring his love for Abbie, she has kept mum on their romance. In fact, she actually denied even knowing who Konrad was.
On one of Abbie’s recent Instagram posts, a nosy follower asked the podcast host to give up details on the pash.
“Bestie you better spill the tea on Konrad,” they commented with a teacup emoji.
“I don’t know who that is. Sorry to this man,” Abbie responded.
