Home and Away star Sam Frost will have her character “temporarily” written off of the show in order for her to get vaccinated.

The former Bachelorette star released a statement on Tuesday, following a barrage of negative press after revealing that she did not want to get the COVID vaccine.

In a statement released on her personal Instagram account, the star revealed that she had a “medical procedure” booked in January and wouldn’t be fully vaccinated until “mid-late February”.

“I will be written out temporarily, Jazzy is going on an off-screen adventure for a few weeks. but I’ll be back,” she wrote.

“My bosses are amazing, we’ve been in open communication for months. Very grateful we were able to make a plan that works for everyone.”

No doubt, Sam’s statement is in response to Channel 7 now requiring all staff to be vaccinated.

“To provide the safest possible work environment for cast, crew and presenters, Seven Productions have made the decision to only engage those who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19, taking effect in January next year,” a spokesperson told the Herald Sun.

Sam Frost Received Backlash After Saying That She Would Not be Vaccinated

Back in late October, the former reality star disappeared from Instagram following intense scrutiny after she shared a bizarre rant about being unvaccinated.

Breaking down, the 32-year-old actress claimed unvaccinated people were facing “segregation” from society and copped severe backlash, especially given its historic racial connotations.

Then, after a short hiatus she returned to the platform issuing a statement on her Instagram story thanking her fans.

“Thank you for the enormous amount of support and love over the past few weeks,” she wrote, adding that she had received “thousands” of messages and emails.

“Incredibly grateful for my friends, family and work colleagues who held my hand through the storm, and loved me unconditionally.

“Kindness always wins. With all of my heart, thank you.”
