On Tuesday night, fans of SAS will find out whether Dan Ewing, Jana Pittman, Sam Burgess, John Steffensen and Mark Philippoussis have what it takes to be a Special Forces soldier.

Still, there’s no guarantee of passing when the Directing Staff have shown zero mercy across the season. Judging by the thrilling teaser trailer, we can expect no different from these final episodes.

“It all comes down to one question,” Chief Instructor Ant Middleton muses ahead of final selection. “Would I have this person by my side on the battlefield?”

With only 48 hours left in the course, the recruits are set to be pushed to their physical and mental limits. We’re already on the edge of our seats in anticipation!

In the promo clip, Sam and Mark are shown suspended over a gorge in a death-defying challenge, but it’s not just physical pain they’ll have to endure.

The recruits will also break down during a heartwrenching task when they pour their hearts out writing death letters to their loved ones.

Safe to say we’ll need to have the tissues handy for this one!

Which Celebrity Recruits Have Previously Passed SAS Australia Selection?

It’s no surprise that very few recruits make it through the entire gruelling course.

Still, three celebrity recruits defied the odds last year, passing the course during SAS Australias inaugural season.

Chief Instructor Ant Middleton was the one to tell former Bachelor Nick the ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins, comedian Merrick Watts and AFLW player Sabrina Frederick that they’d all passed the physically and mentally taxing course.

“Passing selection doesn’t prove that ‘I’ can do anything, it proves ‘You’ can do anything!” Merrick mused on Instagram after the final episode in 2020, telling his followers that he “visualised” the moment “hundreds of times”.

Sabrina also penned a message to her fans, saying that while the selection course was the “toughest” thing she’s ever done, it was the “best experience of [her] life”.
