She sensationally quit her high-profile role on Neighbours last year, but now Jodi Gordon will now be making a return to the small screen.
A source revealed in episode 109 of So Dramatic! with Megan Pustetto that the actress has finally landed herself a new role – this time as a contestant on the reality TV show Celebrity Apprentice!
“She signed her contract last week,” the insider dished. “Filming starts mid-October. She’s been blabbing to everyone about it because she’s so excited she finally landed herself a role after all her failed attempts!”
And it wasn’t even the first reality TV show Jodi applied for!
So Dramatic! also recently revealed that she had put her name forward for SAS Australia three times – however, was knocked back every time. She was also cast on Celebrity Survivor alongside Sophie Cachia and Khan Hong.
Earlier this year Jodi allegedly told friends she was going to be the next Bachelorette, too! However, obviously, that didn’t come to fruition either!
Why Did Jodi Gordon Quit Neighbours?
Jodi revealed she was leaving Neighbours in an Instagram post in January 2020.
The 34-year-old shared a series of photos of herself and her castmates from the long-running soap when she confirmed the news.
In the caption, she said goodbye to the job she held for four years and explained she was looking forward to spending time with her five-year-old daughter, Aleeia, who she shares with ex-husband Braith Anasta.
“Farewell my Neighbours Family!! It’s been an incredible 4 years with you guys, everyone from crew to production, cleaners to chefs to cast … you make this show what it is and I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of it for so long,” she wrote in the lengthy caption.
“Now it’s time for me to move on to the next adventure. More importantly in the interim it’s time for me to move back to Sydney to be with my beautiful daughter, Aleeia.”
