SAS Australia 2021 is about to begin and it has a celebrity line up like we’ve never seen before!

So Dramatic! has it on good authority that casting was inundated with thousands of applications from celebrities that didn’t make it past the application process as reported in episode 101 of So Dramatic! With Megan Pustetto.

So, who didn’t make the cut?

JODI GORDON

Actress Jodi Gordan was put forward for SAS and was super keen to be cast and redeem herself following a number of scandals in her time. One we can’t forget was in 2009, when Jodi was found hiding in alleged bikie Mark James Judge’s bedroom on a coke-fuelled bender, paranoid about a non-existent gunman outside!

The former Neighbours star applied last season and this season but didn’t make the cut either time. She’s the perfect SAS candidate if you ask us!

LUKE JACOBZ

Another soap actor who applied for SAS was former Home and Away star Luke Jacobz. Luke actually applied for SAS and DWTS last season and managed to get offers for both, but he chose DWTS instead.

It seems like he made the right decision because as we know, he ended up taking home the disco ball for DWTS. it looks like they had already filled the actor quota with Dan Ewing – his former Home and Away co-star!

LOCKY GILBERT

Reality TV veteran Locky Gilbert also put his name forward for SAS and went through the casting process.

The Bachelor and Survivor star made it to the final stages of casting but just narrowly missed out on landing a spot!

One source told So Dramatic!: “Locky was devoed he didn’t make the cut and was banking on appearing on the show because he loves a physical challenge and needs the cash!”

CIARRAN STOTT

Bachelorette star Ciarran Stott also applied for SAS Australia and  the tatted up star was in the final stages however a production insider told So Dramatic! that he also just missed out!

Ciarran was hoping for a redemption of sorts and to clear his name following his bad boy and super spreading ways that have been well documented.

Luckily for Ciarran, between making TikTok vids he was able to land another TV gig, starring on the upcoming Swedish Bachelorette!

TODD KING

The runner-up from Ali Oetjen’s season of The Bachelorette, Todd King, was being seriously considered in the final stages of casting but also missed out!

To be fair, the new police officer is probably too wholesome and pure for this show and doesn’t have enough skeletons and scandals in the closet.

JESSIKA POWER AND INES BASIC

MAFS villains Jessika Power and Ines Basic also applied for SAS this year and last, however, according to the So Dramatic! insider, they didn’t make it past the physical test.

As we know, Jessika went on to be cast for BB VIP. Ines however is yet to return to our screens so I guess, watch this space to see where she may pop up next!

MICHAEL BRUNELLI

Speaking of MAFS, Michael Brunelli was also put forward for the show but didn’t get a call back. Despite his obvious physical attributes being a PT, he’s probably too squeaky clean for this show as well, let’s be honest!

SOPHIA CACHIA

Controversial influencer Sophia Cachia also went through with the SAS casting process and was being seriously considered by producers.

The source revealed that she only just missed out on landing a spot on the show!

JOSH AND LUKE PACKHAM

Love Island twins Josh and Luke Packham also applied for SAS Australia but they ended up choosing The Block instead. It’s probably for the best, because we don’t think the commanders would be very impressed with them speaking back to them like they do to Keith and Dan. They wouldn’t have lasted one second!

With this many stars not making the cut, we can’t wait to see what the ones who did, bring to the show.
