On Wednesday, September 22, it was announced that Sex and the City star Willie Garson had passed away.

The much-loved actor, who was just 57 when died from a “short illness”, rose to fame as Carrie Bradshaw’s gay best friend, Stanford Blatch on the hit HBO series.

While tributes poured in from the world of entertainment including the cast of both SATC and its reboot, And Just Like That…, there had been one notable absence: Willie’s scene partner, Sarah Jessica Parker.

Sarah Jessica and Willie’s co-stars Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and even Kim Cattral had shared beautiful tributes to their friend. However, Sarah had remained mum. Until now.

Chris Noth, who plays the controversial Mr Big in the series, took to Instagram with a tribute to his co-star. “Willie ❤️💔,” he captioned the post of a picture of Carrie and her Stanny.

But it was the comments section that has drawn the most attention. Below was a pinned post.

“Thank you dearest Chris,” Sarah Jessica had penned, before adding: “I’m not ready yet. Xxx” Absolutely heartbreaking.

Fans of the series have been eagerly waiting for words from the 56-year-old actress after tributes from their other co-stars began pouring in.

Kristin, who plays Charlotte shared her own post.
