Caitlyn Jenner might be set to appear on Big Brother VIP Australia later this year, but the 71-year-old took on The Masked Singer US earlier in 2021 and we have a lot of thoughts.

A clip of the Olympian’s unmasking on the hit singing show has resurfaced and it certainly is something!

Caitlyn appeared on season five of Fox’s The Masked Singer in March when she performed Ke$ha’s debut hit Tik Tok and TBH, it’s giving us “Grandma doing karaoke on New Year’s Eve after a few too many sherries” vibes.

See for yourself:

If “the party don’t start till [she] walk[s] in”, we’re not entirely sure that’s a party we want to be at!

The former patriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner clan appeared on the hit singing series as Phoenix for only one episode before she was eliminated after her first performance.

What Did The Viewers Think?

While The Masked Singer judges seemed to be into Caitlyn’s monologue-esque rendition, viewers at home were… not.

“This could be in a legit horror film,” one person commented underneath the clip on YouTube, while another claimed it was “among the most painful things” they’ve ever seen.

Another penned that the performance was made all the more “disturbing” by the judges and crowd “pretending it’s amazing”.

“I love her lack of energy. Like yasssss queen give us NOTHING,” joked another user.

Even Twitter was up in arms over the unique performance.

Ke$ha also weighed in on the performance by fittingly sharing her thoughts on the app TikTok!

“Live for a cover and live for this outfit… but I mean, I have to go…” the singer captioned the clip, appearing mortified as she retreated behind her feathered outfit.

Caitlyn’s Australian Reality TV Debut

While Caitlyn won’t be appearing on the Aussie iteration of The Masked Singer (thank God), she flew Down Under in July to prepare for filming Big Brother VIP Australia, but as reported in episode 95 of So Dramatic! With Megan Pustetto, we’re convinced she is the first to be eliminated from this reality show too!

She inadvertently revealed she had left the Big Brother VIP house after just one week when she posted to social media that she was already back in LA on August 8 to continue her bid to be Governor of California.

We just wonder if her appearance on Big Brother VIP Australia will be as tragic as that on the American version of The Masked Singer!
