Following a revamped season that saw the show gain a new legion of fans, The Voice Australia 2021 has found its winner in Bella Taylor Smith!

After a show-stopping solo performance of The Greatest Showman‘s hit song Never Enough, the 23-year-old was crowned THE Voice after a nationwide vote and will take home $100,000 in prize money plus a recording contract with EMI Recorded Music Australia to go along with her illustrious title.

“I really can’t believe it. I’m so thankful,” Bella, who was on Team Guy Sebastian, expressed after host Sonia Kruger revealed the life-changing news. “I can’t wait to see what incredible things are ahead for me.

“I’m really grateful for you [coach Guy], for everyone who voted and for my beautiful family who I love.”

Since capturing the hearts of Australia and all-star coaches Guy, Rita Ora, Keith Urban and Jessica Mauboy in her first blind audition, Bella proved time and time again why she deserved to be in the competition, right down to the moment she was crowned the winner.

The finale also saw Team Jess’ Mick Harrington, Team Keith’s Arlo Smith and Team Rita’s girl group G-Nat!on battle it out for the record deal and prize money, but it was Bella’s star power and beautiful rendition of Andrea Bocelli‘s The Prayer which she performed with Guy that had the votes flooding in from viewers.

“I’m so proud. There are so many deserving people up there, but you are special Bella, go out there and kill it, I know you will,” Guy said of his mentoree’s awe-inspiring achievement. The Battle Scars singer also surprised his winning protégé with an invitation to be his support act on his upcoming tour.

To close out the season, the young Sydneysider took to the stage to perform her new single Higher, which was released after the semi-finals.

Despite The Voice having found its winner this year, the talent shown across the season has been undeniable, and we can’t wait to see what the beloved singing competition has in store for us next year!

Congratulations to Bella on her sensational win!
