Love Triangle star Leesh Cunningham has revealed she fell victim to a “messed up” prank while running in New South Wales.

Lessh, who appeared on Stan’s dating show in 2022, took to TikTok in February to slam those who tied a line of fishing wire between two trees at neck height along a wooded running track.

In the video, the reality star showed intense lacerations to her neck, a result of colliding with the wire.

“I don’t want to disrupt my run. But, some f*ckwit has put fishing line across two trees. Right in [the] neckline,” she told her followers.

“Seriously, if it’s kids, you actually don’t understand how serious that can be. Especially running at speed. Right there! F*cking hell.”

Taking to the comment section, Leesh confirmed the incident occurred in Killarney Vale on the NSW Central Coast.

She also reassured fans that she notified local police of the obstruction.

“Seriously, what goes through someone’s thick head when they do messed up stuff like this! It could have been so much worse!” she captioned the video.

Love Triangle‘s Leesh Cunningham feared for her safety following fishing wire collision

Chatting to Yahoo! News about the incident, Leesh said she was lucky to have noticed the wire before running into it.

“I saw it, but because I was running I didn’t have enough time to stop,” she admitted. “So it still hit me, but if I hadn’t seen it at all that would have done so much more damage.”

She admitted that she feared for her safety after the collision, worrying that the person who strung the wire might have still been in the area waiting for a victim.

“I was frantically looking and yelling just in case there was someone there,” Leesh said.

Several TikTok commenters revealed these kinds of encounters aren’t uncommon across Australia.

“This happens so much on the Coast,” one user said.

“Someone did this across mountain bike trails in Hobart. It can literally kill someone!” another penned. “Glad you’re OK.”
