SAS Australia 2023‘s Olympic runner Peter Bol may get snatched up in Base Camp, with sources claiming he’s the type of guy you’d bring home to your family.

The 29-year-old famously ran into a huge scandal when he was suspended by Athletics Australia for failing a doping test in January after showing signs of synthetic EPO.

However, in February, it was announced that his result was a false positive and the athlete was cleared by Sports Integrity Australia in August.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the world doping police admitted that the situation was a huge “disaster”.

A source close to Peter backed this up, telling So Dramatic! that it was very clear the doping accusations weren’t true, because he “never drank” in high school.

“He would look after [people who were] absolutely wasted and would make sure [they] were okay to go home [from parties],” they said. “And that’s how everyone knows he had nothing to do with the positive drug test.”

The insider added: “He’s genuinely the best type of man to have in your life. The type your mum would love you to bring home.” And he sounds wholesome AF!

What else do we know about SAS Australia 2023‘s Peter Bol?

The 800m distance runner represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Olympics. He also placed fourth at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and won the silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

However, according to our source, Peter wasn’t too into sports until he was urged by his school’s “head of house” to try running 800m. He then realised he had talent and the rest was history!

Our source explained that he also “walked across Egypt with his family as a child to escape the war-torn country and made it to a refugee camp before being granted asylum to Australia.”

And it sounds like SAS will be easy as pie for Peter!
