As more celebrities are unmasked on The Masked Singer Australia 2021, fans are becoming more adamant about knowing who the remaining performers are.

If you’re like us and are OBSESSED with furiously Googling to make sure your guesses line up with the clues, you’ll be familiar with one particular name that’s been thrown around by viewers: Em Rusciano.

Yep, die-hard The Masked Singer Australia fans are convinced that the comedian and former Australian Idol contestant is Dolly and TBH, we think they’re right on the money!

Let us explain.

The Clues

Em Rusciano is one multitalented human being, so her clues span a variety of categories, from sports to music to comedy, and may confuse a rookie guesser — but not us!

One particular clue that has stuck in our brains is, “After missing my dream in Sydney, 2004 was when I made my mark.” We think this is referencing Em only just missing out on competing as a track star at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, before she went on to wow with her impressive pipes on Australian Idol in 2004.

As for the rainbows that have popped up in both clues and visual prompts across the series, we just KNOW they are referring to the comedian’s Australia-wide Rage and Rainbows tour. In addition to this, the title of her song Brand New Day has also made a feature multiple times.

What Are Viewers Saying?

Dolly is arguably the best singer in this year’s lineup and most recently wowed audiences with Adele’s rendition of Make You Feel My Love which showcased her distinctive voice.

Her impressive chops further cemented our opinion that Em is under the frou-frou Dolly mask, and it’s to say The Masked Singer Australia fans will not be swayed when it comes to this idea either!

What Do The Judges Think?

Put aside Dave Hughes outlandish predictions (make them stop!!!), the judging panel have come up with several ideas as to who is under the Dolly mask:

  • P!nk
  • Layne Beachley
  • Rhonda Rousey
  • Nicole Scherzinger
  • Meghan Trainer
  • Jane Seymour
  • Em Rusciano
  • Kimbra
  • Lisa McCune
  • Chrissie Swan
  • Missy Higgins

But we know only one of those predictions is correct and we will not be convinced otherwise.

The Masked Singer Contestants Were Already Leaked!

As discussed on episode 101 of So Dramatic! With Megan Pustetto, a source revealed several names who are pegged to appear on the hit singing competition’s third season.

One was Mahalia Barnes, who was unveiled as Pavlova earlier in the season and another name was revealed to be… drumroll please…. EM RUSCIANO!

“The confirmed pair’s (Em and Mahalia) voices have clearly been heard on set, so these two are locked in,” the Drama Army sleuth said of their “on set source” — “a friend that got drunk… and didn’t keep quiet, whoops” — whoops, indeed!

The source also spilled that Studio 10’s Tristan MacManus, Daddy Cool frontman Ross Wilson and X Factor Australia alumni Jack Vidgen could be making an appearance. Jack is already predicted by fans to be underneath the Kebab mask.

Case closed! We’ll see you back here in a little while to dish out our “I told you so”s.
