Sierah Swepstone has revealed the truth about her “deep conversation” with Adrian Araouzou that sparked “cheating” rumours during Married at First Sight Australia 2025.
ICYMI: During the second Commitment Ceremony, tensions flared when Sierah admitted she’d opened up about her past to Adrian and Ashleigh Ackerman.
It came after her TV husband, Billy Belcher, claimed he needed more of an emotional connection before exploring intimacy with her.
Billy said he felt “blindsided,” as he’d been trying to get Sierah to open up throughout the experiment, while Adrian’s wife, Awhina Rutene, admitted she felt the same way about her husband.
During part five of her exclusive tell-all on the So Dramatic! podcast, Sierah lifted the lid on what really went down during her controversial chat with Adrian and Ash.
She also claimed that Awhina and Billy knew more than they were letting on.

During her explosive interview, Sierah revealed that she wasn’t alone with Adrian during their “deep conversation” that sparked cheating rumours.
“Adrian, Ash and I were having this conversation together,” Sierah recalled.
Host Megan Pustetto chimed in, “Hold on. You actually weren’t alone with Adrian in the room.”
Sierah then confirmed: “I’ve never been alone with Adrian… Never… To this day, I have not.”

She then dropped another huge bombshell, revealing that Billy and Awhina were, in fact, the ones who were alone together that night.
“Funny that no one mentions that,” she said.
“Where were they when I was having this deep conversation with Adrian? They were alone together, probably conspiring against me.”

Sierah then clarified that the “deep conversation” with Adrian and Ash was way more casual than it was portrayed on the show.
“Adrian was on the bed. Ash and I were just sitting on the floor next to each other at the end of the bed,” she explained.
“We were just having a D&M (deep and meaningful chat)… Like every single Australian has done once in their life in the smokers’ area of a pub, you share your life story with a stranger.”

Sierah then dropped another bombshell, revealing that Billy knew about her chat with Adrian, despite later claiming he didn’t.
“This is the thing that people have brushed over,” Sierah started. “In the edit, when [Billy] goes, ‘I’ve been blindsided. I didn’t know that!’
“Apparently, I was like, ‘Yes, you did’. Because he did, because he [was] lying,” she stated.
“But if you think about how contrived and performative his response is, that isn’t what it looks like when someone’s being honest. And if you take it into context with the fact that he was being called out for being controlling and having all of his pressure put on him, plus his hostility earlier in the day.
“Is that him being heartbroken and betrayed? Or is that a DARVO tactic to remove the pressure and the heat from himself, and put it back on me and make me look like the bad guy?”
DARVO stands for Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender, a manipulative tactic used by perpetrators to deflect blame when confronted.
Sierah also claimed that Awhina was well aware of her chat with Adrian before the Dinner Party, despite claiming she was also “blindsided” to learn they’d confided in each other.
“Awhina [was] like, ‘I didn’t know [about the chat] either’. Yes, [she] f*cking did, because I have a whole diary cam about it,” Sierah retorted.
And she came with receipts!

Sierah shared a leaked diary cam with So Dramatic!, which she filmed during the experiment on 11 August 2024.
In the footage, Sierah recalls a chat she’d had with Awhina, where she gave her advice on how to open up to Adrian because they were having communication issues.
“There seems to be a lot of disjoint between Adrian and Awhina as well,” Sierah told the camera.
“And I think the miscommunication is coming from the fact that Awhina wears her heart on her sleeve, and she’s very good at showing her love, which is a beautiful thing. But I think she has really high expectations from Adrian that he’ll show his love in the same way.
“And I think that Adrian is very much like me in a sense where he struggles to show emotions. If he’s backed into a corner and kind of forced to do it… he closes off.”
The video continued with Sierah stating she tried to explain Adrian’s perspective to Awhina, but she “didn’t really seem to like it”.
“[Awhina] basically said, ‘If Adrian’s that good, then why don’t you have him?’
“And I pretty much said, ‘I want you to have Adrian, because you guys are good together. But you’re just not seeing that. And it’s not nice to speak about your husband like he’s a thing to be disposed of.”
Sierah clarified that she was coming from a “good place” during their chat, but it ended on a “sour note”.

Sierah also revealed that Awhina admitted to knowing about her chat with Adrian.
“In the following episode, at [Beth Kelly and Teejay Halkias‘] intruder wedding, Awhina actually contradicts herself, and [says to Adrian], ‘I knew Sierah opened up to you, but I didn’t know you opened up to her.’
Sierah then added: “But that’s not what Awhina had said the day before,” Sierah declared.
“If you saw the full context of what happened at the second Commitment Ceremony, you would have seen that as DARVO.
“But you didn’t. You just saw me being some skank that was running around having these ‘deep conversations’ with Adrian behind [Billy’s] back. When it was in our apartment. He was there. He knew. So did Awhina, and they lied. And they were alone together, not me and Adrian.”
This wasn’t the only time Sierah faced “cheating” rumours, as she was also criticised for having dinner with Adrian during filming. However, it was later revealed that Tony Mojanovski was there too, and it wasn’t a date.
