On the show, Billy expressed multiple times that Sierah was actively pursuing him for sex, even labelling her “horny Sierah”. The groom claimed he had to constantly reject her advances because he needed an “emotional connection” before anything physical.
However, during part three of her tell-all on the So Dramatic! podcast, Sierah stated that this was far from the truth.
Sierah and Billy were intimate twice during filming, once on their Honeymoon and another time before the Second Dinner Party.
And despite how Billy portrayed their intimate relations, Sierah claimed that she “never once initiated” sex.
“He initiated both times,” she told host Megan Pustetto. “And there was this subtle essence of sl*t-shaming throughout the whole thing, like I was a sexual aggressor, which wasn’t the case. It was actually him who did it.”
Sierah Swepstone details what happened during the coerced sexual encounter with Billy Belcher on Married at First Sight
Sierah went on to recall in detail what happened during the coerced sexual encounter with Billy.
“Billy and I hadn’t really had any affection, and we hadn’t slept together since the second day,” she recalled.
“We’d been drinking all day… I was sleeping on my side with my back to him, trying to go to sleep and then… Yeah, he just randomly grabbed my hips and started having sex with me.”
At the time, Sierah said she “felt kind of lucky” that Billy wanted to be intimate with her, as until that point in the experiment, she’d “felt so deprived of attention and affection” from him.
“It kinda went on for like 30 seconds and then he rolled over and said, ‘suck my d*ck’. Like literally said, ‘suck my d*ck to get it hard again’… There wasn’t even a please,” she recounted.
Megan responded in disbelief, saying, “I feel sick… Yuck. Sorry, I’m quite disturbed by that. That’s disgusting.”
Married at First Sight‘s Sierah Swepstone says consent was not given until after Billy Belcher started having sex with her
Whilst recalling the sexual encounter with Billy, Sierah explained that “consent was given after the fact”.
Sierah went on to explain that there was no “affection or anything before that”.
“I don’t know, I just wasn’t really into it. I was very drunk,” Sierah went on. “Because there was obviously no foreplay. There wasn’t even any kissing or talking or touching; it was just literally just from behind, he grabbed my hips.”
She added: “So it was very abrupt.”
Megan responded, saying, “The no consent element is really concerning. And just the fact that there was no kissing… Just sticking it in from behind… Wow.”
“I guess when you’re in a domestic situation, you don’t think of it that way, but that’s not the case,” Sierah replied.
“But again, I was feeling very deprived of everything, feeling really insecure, feeling very withdrawn, feeling he doesn’t like me, all of these kinds of things.”
Sierah Swepstone explains the truth behind “drunken fumble” with Billy Belcher on Married at First Sight
Sierah went on to say that she later referred to the incident on-camera during the Second Committement as a “drunken fumble”.
The bride explained that this was an attempt to downplay the severity of what really occurred because she hadn’t “fully processed it yet.” She also said that her “trauma history” had impacted her “judgment and processing times”.
“I didn’t register it as bad until a little while later,” she admitted.
Megan responded, saying, “I think it’s a little more than a ‘drunken fumble’.”

Sierah stated that the unwanted sexual encounter highlights a “massive power imbalance” between herself and Billy.
“It also shows a massive lack of respect for me and my body,” she said.
“It’s like I was disposable… That he was just giving me quote-unquote ‘what I wanted,’ so that he could say that that happened, and he was the ‘good guy’ because he was trying by being intimate with me.
“Like I was ‘lucky to have it’.”
Sierah finished by reflecting that, in hindsight, it’s “really sad” that she “felt so insecure at that point” and that she “felt lucky” that he “just wanted to stick his d*ck in.”
