A Farmer Wants a Wife Australia 2025 contestant has spilled some major tea about Farmer Thomas. And spoiler alert: it turns out he may not be as wholesome as his edit led us to believe.
ICYMI: Farmer Thomas flew under the radar for most of the season with his quiet charm and thoughtful nature. It didn’t take long for viewers to fall for his sincerity and no-BS approach to finding a genuine connection. And that he did!
Thomas formed a strong (and seriously unexpected) connection with Clarette, who was branded this year’s resident villain.
Their relationship definitely had its fair share of bumps, including moments of doubt and external pressures. But ultimately culminated in a heartfelt declaration of love during a sunset proposal on his farm.
Despite their challenges, the pair are still together, with Clarette even relocating nearby to Thomas’ farm in Kimba, South Australia.
However, as revealed in episode 581 of the So Dramatic! podcast, one lady from Thomas’ farm has shared some explosive intel about what Thomas was really like during filming.
And her version of events is very different to the fairytale the farmer (and producers) have been trying to sell us!

Spilling exclusively to So Dramatic!, one contestant, who asked to stay anonymous, dropped a bombshell about what Thomas was really like during filming.
According to her, the farmers don’t actually get to choose the women who show up at their farms. Yep, apparently it’s less “pick your wife” and more “here’s your lineup.”
And when it comes to Farmer Thomas? Let’s just say his wholesome edit might not tell the whole story. She claims that despite his glowing edit, he was “incredibly rude” behind the scenes.
“The night before filming started, Thomas was handed a sheet with the names and photos of the eight women he’d been assigned,” they dished.
“His response? ‘Oh for f*ck’s sake, I told them I wanted all tall blondes and I’ve only got two!’
“Then he pointed at a photo of me with my horse and said, ‘Why does she have a horse? I told them no horse girls.’
“The producers lied and told him it wasn’t my horse… but surprise, it was.” Yikes!
The contestant also claimed that Thomas “hates animals” despite being a farmer. Ooft. Not the plot twist we were expecting!
Not only that, but she also claimed he was looking for a “city trad wife to cook, clean and [in his words], ‘pop out babies’.” And this is definitely not the same Thomas that Australia saw on their screens…
