One of Married at First Sight Australia 2025‘s “golden boys” has been exposed for being a secret villain behind the scenes, and this wasn’t on our bingo card!
A series of SPICY blind items about this year’s brides and grooms have been revealed in the latest episode of So Dramatic! EXTRA.
However, sources have told So Dramatic! that one of the many grooms who got a glowing edit was a total “douchebag” IRL!
“I’ve spoken to cast members and several people who work on MAFS, and I was genuinely disappointed by what I heard about him,” one insider dished.
“He was only there for the fame and treated his TV wife and all of the cast like absolute crap. He’s a total narcissist.” Yikes!
Producers intentionally gave ‘douchebag’ Married at First Sight groom a ‘hero edit”.
The source added that the production team were told to go out of their way to make this groom look good.
“The post-producer cutting his episodes literally had a sticky note on her screen that said ‘[The groom] is a good guy’. This was a directive from post-production to make sure he got the hero edit no matter what happened,” they spilled.
“He was actually the biggest douche IRL. But the instructions from the top were that they needed him to be loveable and a good guy when he wasn’t at all.”
And at this rate, MAFS is looking more scripted than a Hollywood rom-com!
