Married at First Sight Australia 2025‘s Carina Mirabile has been allegedly busted lying about wearing fur to Fashion Week after claiming it was ‘fake’.
ICYMI: This year, the Australian Fashion Council officially banned using all wildlife-derived materials like fur, animal skins, and feathers from Australian Fashion Week.
Despite this, Carina attended the event in a fur coat, resulting in major backlash from fans and animal rights activists.

Bailey, who runs the Warrior For Animals social media account, also shared images of Carina’s outfit and called her out for “defying” the event rules.
Carina then took to Instagram, claiming it was “vintage faux fur purchased in New York”. She also insisted she only wears vegan products.
However, as revealed in episode 551 of the So Dramatic! podcast, this is far from the truth.
Married at First Sight‘s Carina Mirabile is exposed for lying about her ‘faux fur’ coat
Enter Jen, a woman who has since come forward claiming to have sold Carina the fur coat she wore to Fashion Week and with receipts about its authenticity.
Jen busted the TV bride for allegedly lying about her controversial fashion piece and where she bought it.
“It’s actually a real vintage fur coat. It’s not fake fur. I know because she bought that coat from me on Facebook Marketplace several years ago,” Jen wrote under a So Dramatic! post on Instagram.
“I was the one who bought it in NYC, and it was stated in my ad. Funny that she lied about it.” Yikes!
Not only was Carina slammed for wearing “fur”, but fans also accused her of cultural appropriation over her dreadlocks hairstyle.
Listen to the episode below to hear what else Jen had to say about Carina’s fur coat, the history behind her problematic hairstyle, and how Carina has responded to the backlash.
