ICYMI: During the February 26 episode, Carina Mirabile revealed that her TV husband Paul punched a wall in their apartment during an off-camera argument after she admitted she’d slept with famous rapper, Quavo, in the past.
As reported by Sky News on February 28, NSW Police confirmed an official investigation had been launched into the marriage experiment as a result.
However, government regulatory body Safework NSW has confirmed to So Dramatic! that they’ve opened a separate investigation into MAFS and the show’s production company, Endemol Shine Australia.
Why has a second investigation been launched into Married at First Sight Australia?
As revealed in episode 497 of the So Dramatic! podcast, a second investigation has been launched following several complaints from this year’s participants.
In a statement to So Dramatic!, a spokesperson for Safework NSW explained they’d received “a report of an alleged workplace and safety issue” related to the marriage experiment.
“The matter has been allocated to a Safework inspector from Safework NSW’s specialist psychological health and safety team,” the statement read.
“Safework NSW is considering the report. At this stage, no further comments can be made.”
