Married at First Sight Australia 2025‘s Jacqui Burfoot has spilled a bucketload of behind-the-scenes tea about her TV husband Ryan Donnelly.
As soon as New Zealand-born Jacqui hit the small screen, she became one of the most controversial and perhaps misunderstood participants we’ve ever seen in the experiment.
While MAFS has portrayed her as a kooky, unregulated bride, Jacqui’s been telling a completely different story off-screen as she’s been going rogue on social media. And we LOVE to see her bringing the receipts!
Alongside revealing her truth on socials, the 29-year-old has spilled tea in REAL time on the So Dramatic! podcast’s spin-off show, MAFS Afterparty with Lauren Dunn.
Chatting to the 2024 fan-fave bride, Jacqui revealed what her first impression of Ryan was, admitting she wondered if she’d been “set up” by producers.

She also dished on what her husband was like off-camera, exposed his “controversial views” on women and the ultimatum he gave producers after he infamously dropped Jacqui on their wedding day!

In her chat with Lauren Dunn, Jacqui also claimed that “some girls had started talking off camera quite early”.
While she “wasn’t involved”, she felt there were “alliances forming” behind the scenes.
“For the purposes of bringing drama to the table, I guess,” Jacqui explained. “Our season was notorious for people making plans off camera to bring stuff up on camera and ambush people.”
