As one of Married at First Sight Australia 2025‘s most controversial couples, everyone is curious whether Adrian Araouzou and Awhina Rutene are still together.
To say Adrian and Awhina have had a tumultuous marriage would be the understatement of the season.
From the groom’s clunky comments on their honeymoon about raising Awhina’s son to his “cheating” scandal with co-star Sierah Swepstone, fans definitely think the TV bride got the raw end of the stick during her time on the show.
And with that, everyone is wondering how far Adrian and Awhina make it in the experiment. And, are they still together today?

Given Adrian and Sierah’s scandal, fans were quick to suggest that their partners, Awhina and Billy Belcher should strike up a romance!
Taking it in their stride, it wasn’t long before paparazzi pics of Awhina and Billy looking cosy together appeared in Woman’s Day.
Plus, Billy was the only cast member to make an appearance at Awhina and her twin, Cleo‘s, birthday party. Seems like a very boyfriend thing to do, is it not?
However, Awhina has since shut down the rumours in a statement.
“Billy and I are just really great friends,” she clarified. “It was my birthday, and with everything that was airing on MAFS, it was very raw to him. So we were in communication, and it was a friendly catch-up, getting ice cream.
“I really value his friendship, and I think his family are really beautiful. Sorry, Australia, [it’s] friendship. I know everyone’s shipping us right now, but I’m married.”
MARRIED?! So, either she and Adrian ARE still together, or someone is trying to keep on the good side of production by staying mum…

Despite all their ups and downs, Adrian and Awhina appeared to spend Valentine’s Day together, if a video shared by the groom is anything to go by!
Adrian’s TikTok showed him approaching Awhina at a football stadium, where he surprised her with a red rose to match her outfit.
“My Valentine,” he captioned the clip.

Just days after his TV wedding aired, Adrian was allegedly spotted on a date with a mystery woman.
A source told Yahoo Lifestyle that the groom was “holding hands” with someone who wasn’t Awhina.
“So essentially, I was in the city on Friday night, see a bloke who looks super familiar – I’m like, wait a sec, that’s Adrian from MAFS, and he’s holding hands with a girl,” they told the outlet.”
“I then notice that it’s not the girl he got married to on the show and they were looking very cozy together. They probably just had a date night and were going to a bar or something cause this was around 11 pm to 12 am. But yeah, he was definitely with a different girl to his wife on the show.”
While Adrian claimed it was actually his twin brother James on the date, not him, this was swiftly debunked by the outlet.
“Yahoo Lifestyle can confirm that his brother James has a sleeve tattoo on his right arm while Adrian’s tattoos are only on his left arm — and the photos feature a man without any tattoos on his right arm,” they reported.

How far do Adrian Araouzou and Awhina Rutene make it in the experiment?
As previously revealed by So Dramatic!, Adrian and Awhina make it to Final Vows despite their rollercoaster relationship.
This was backed up by Adrian’s now-ex-bestie, Jasmin Weston, who appeared during Friends and Family Week.
After putting Awhina and her sister Cleo on blast, Jasmin — also known online as JasminEats — issued an apology before their confrontation aired.
At the end of her Instagram Story statement, she wrote: “Awhina and Cleo, again, I am sorry for the thing I said on family friend day and final vows, and Awhina, you have my support in this all.”
However, she quickly deleted and reuploaded the post, removing the tea that she was present at the couple’s Final Vows.
