Former brides Lauren Dunn and Beck Zemek have revealed how Married at First Sight Australia producers bribe unhappy couples to stay on the show.
During the February 24 episode of her “Ask Lauren Anything” segment of So Dramatic!‘s spin-off podcast, MAFS Afterparty with Lauren Dunn, Lauren and special guest Beck revealed that producers always “encourage” couples to stay on the show. WTF?

“Everyone has their own producer, and they’re the only ones who experience your reality. They see everything you and your partner do. They also convince you that they’re your friend,” Beck explained.
“If you want to leave, your producer comes to you like a best friend and says things like, ‘You can’t leave now. You can’t let [your partner] get away with this behaviour, and you need to stand up to him at the next Dinner Party’.”
Lauren also stated she tried to leave the experiment “many times”. But her producer told he she “needed to stay”.
Married at First Sight’s Beck Zemek says she was ‘BRIBED’ to stay on the show
Beck also revealed that she was “bribed” to stay on the show and received special treatment for following orders.
“I was bribed to stay. I was even allowed my own room. Jake [Edwards] and I didn’t live together, even though it seemed like it,” she recalled.

The former TV bride stated she was also allowed Nando’s, whilst her co-stars had to eat from YouFoodz.
She was also allowed to choose any dress she wanted for her Final Vows despite the other brides getting a $300 budget. And now it all makes sense!
