Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Lauren Dunn has revealed why couples are “forced” to sleep separately after drama erupts.
During the February 17 episode of her “Ask Lauren Anything” segment of So Dramatic!‘s spin-off podcast, MAFS Afterparty with Lauren Dunn, one fan asked why 2025 stars Jake Luik and Ashleigh Ackerman were allowed to sleep in separate rooms after the February 9 Commitment Ceremony.

According to Lauren, participants can “request a different room” if “something’s going wrong”. However, the decision to separate couples is made by the producers.
But if there has been a “big argument”, production will separate the couples “without them asking”.

Lauren spilled that producers force couples to sleep in different rooms after blow-ups at Commitment Ceremonies and Dinner Parties.
“[Producers] don’t want [participants] to continue to talk about their arguments during the night and either resolve them or have something else happen that they haven’t caught on film,” she explained.

This ensures that everything unfolds on camera. Interesting!
