Adrian has also denied the allegations after MAFS producers launched a review into how he was chosen to appear in the infamous marriage experiment.
Endemol Shine, the producers behind the show, have reportedly questioned duty of care towards the bride who was matched with Adrian.
However, Daily Mail Australia reported that Endemol Shine and Nine’s internal investigation found Adrian hadn’t done any wrongdoing.
What was Married at First Sight 2025 groom Adrian Araouzou accused of?
Per The Australian, court documents state that in June 2020, police were called to the Sydney residence Adrian and his then-partner shared after a witness allegedly heard screaming come from the property.
Once they arrived, officers found a “hysterical and barely consolable” woman in the bathroom naked.
She had her “head in her hands and blood seeping through,” police detailed in a report.
“Due to the actions of the defendant, police were required to restrain [him] using weaponless control,” police said.
The Australian reported that several days later, the woman signed a police statement in which she claimed the injuries came as a result of a seizure, not Adrian assaulting her.
However, a hospital report from the night stated that she was “unsure what happened but fears she was assaulted by her partner”.
Police alleged at the time that the woman was “too afraid” to speak out.
Adrian Araouzou issues statement about domestic violence allegations
In a statement to The Australian on September 17, Adrian said via a lawyer: “Any suggestion of physical assault is categorically denied.
“I had my day in court, I was found not guilty and the application for an AVO was dismissed. Any allegation otherwise is completely baseless and highly defamatory.”
