Everyone’s favourite game of cat-and-mouse, Hunted Australia, is back in 2024 with a brand new name for the show’s third season.

In November, Channel 10 announced the hit adventure series would return for another season, revealing to potential candidates that casting was open.

In a high-stakes, adult version of hide-n-seek, ordinary Aussies become “Fugitives” on the run in the real world and must stay undetected by the “Hunters” for 21 days.

It was later revealed in February that filming was well underway. Now, the latest season is destined for the small screen.

So, keep scrolling to find out everything we know about Hunted Australia 2024!

What is Hunted Australia‘s new show name?

Channel 10 unveiled the first promo for the new season on June 16. In the trailer, it was revealed that the series has officially been renamed Hunted Australia: Million Dollar Heist. At least for 2024.

“Stealing one million dollars, that’s the easy part,” the video expressed.

The competition will begin with the Fugitives attempting to carry out a bank robbery.

With $1 million up for grabs, the contestants will then go on the run with whatever money they manage to steal.

If they’re able to remain uncaptured by the Hunters for 20 consecutive days, they get to keep the money.

Hunted Australia: Million Dollar Heist has an all-new Chief Hunter

For the first time, Hunted Australia is having a revamp of its Chief Hunter.

Reece Dewar, who has been on the team since Hunted‘s inaugural season, is stepping into the shoes of former Chief, David Craig.

Reece, who spent over 20 years in the Australian Defence Force, has a goal of making the first-ever clean sweep, capturing all Fugitives before they reach the extraction point.

Who are the rest of the Hunters?

Joining Reece is Deputy Ben Owen, who’s been part of the Hunted family since the show started in the UK in 2015.

The former military sniper works in cybersecurity and digital intelligence, so the Fugitives better be on their A-game if they want to outsmart him!

Forensic Psychologist Dr Karla Lopez is also returning to our screens, and she’s a star at understanding human behaviours and motivations.

According to the Global P Conference website, Dr Karla has worked closely with Victoria Police to develop their offender management framework to guide the risk management of sex offenders in the community.

Lead Investigator Graeme Simpfendorfer will also be returning. With over 25 years in the Police force, he knows Victoria like the back of his hand. So the Fugitives have nowhere to hide, unless they’re smart about it…

Last but not least, newbie Carla Coslovich will join the show as Lead Intelligence. With 16 years of experience in the Victoria Police Force and five years of experience as a Security Operations Manager for the AFL, she’s one to watch.
